The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Wasn't in the alpha/beta, so still very much early days with this new sim. Getting to grips with it though. Very impressed, and it can (and I'm sure will) only get better. Now that I've learnt how to hide the HUD and remove the POI cocktail sticks from everything I can grab a few screenies. All 4k, my settings are all ultra or equivalent. So far so good, those are the settings the install put me at and it's mostly working out. Some of the apparent frame rates are lowish, but it's still very smooth. Anyway, a few shots in Rio. Not bad for a default area! sorry about the message box in this next one - getting a lot of those. But I lik…

Thought I'd go check out the Panama Canal. Never had a decent version in any of the other sims. Got one now though! Coming up over MPPA on the Pacific side, just before turning in over the Canal And leaving on the Atlantic side - I did take loads of shots along the way but for some reason the screenshot pgm I was using (Gadwin) decided not to play. It's never done that before so I guess I'll have to go round again (not that that's a hardship). Well impressed with the scenery though, and it bodes well for further global exploration

  9. Looking at the weather report last night, I read that there was rather stormy weather forecast for part of the UK, and so I thought, why not take a quick hop from Leeds to London in the morning. And so here we are with the sleek looking TBM 930 parked at the Leeds Airport Multiflight hangar, the weather is much better than I expected! Winds are from the east, holding short of the active runway to taxi out for a RWY 14 departure. What's particularly interesting here is the very noticeable slope of the runway, this really adds so much to the overall look and feel of being immersed in a true to life environment. The slope from the pers…

  11. My first attempt to fly from EGLC to LOWI yesterday was unfortunately cut shot on final approach by a bug with the MSFS Pause Button aka Game Freeze function, as I pressed that the aircraft literally fell out of the sky, just spiraled to the ground. I've always had an affinity towards the larger business jets, so I decided to give that route another try today with the Cessna Citation Longitude. The aircraft is far from hardcore, some would argue it isn't even up to the very basic "Carenado" standards, yet it is certainly stunning visually both externally and in the VC, plus it is actually quite functional and easy to get "flight ready" from cold & dark. …

  12. Many times, when flying XP over the years I really appreciated the one feature that FSX and P3D never implemented...that is..A.I. control of your airplane. Sometimes, when having a bite to eat, or poured myself a drink, would enjoy getting into a passenger cabin seat of any of my 3rdP purchased planes, usually with full graphic cabins, and plunk myself down as I do in real life, just aft of the wing on a window seat, and enjoyed doing that in XP. I'd set up the flight...put myself into that seat, and then give control over to A.I. Unfortunately, it wasn't a non-buggy implementation...whereby, the A.I. would end up crashing on landing, or other assorted mishaps, as I …

  13. It seems that landing at Courchevel is once again ...a thing With that in mind I hopped into a trusty Rockwell AC11 Commander 114 at Chambery LFLB and headed off to LFLJ. Taxiing out. Lovely afternoon for it.. I need to fly up one of those valleys up ahead.. Courchevel approach always looks scary.. or is it because I'm flying? (NO! Don't answer that ) Touchdown - no worries! Scenery looks great in summer or winter. Time for an apres-ski, or rather apres-vol CHEERS! 🍻

  14. Here's some impressions from my first flight in the Citation Longitude on August 18, 2020. I took off from Cabo San Lucas on the tip of the Baja California peninsula and headed south towards Hurricane Genevieve, that was strengthening at that time and was just forming its eye. This was the real-life satellite view at 1800Z. Climbing out of Cabo San Lucas Beautiful plane model, outside and in the cockpit details First view of the outer rain bands of the Hurricane, on the horizon as well as on NEXRAD When I was right on top of it, NEXRAD actually showed the eye that was starting to form One final look from abo…

One of the most beautiful bizjets in the world! Citation Longitude C700 - KCRQ to KSNA via OCN and a quick ILS 20R. AP appeared to work fine, I used VOR and ILS to fly. I haven't tried loading a flight plan but I heard a rumor little navmap can load FMS routes. This shot is taken in the Caravan at all High settings on 1080p except texture resolution set to Ultra and AF set to 16x. System specs are in my sig. As you can see, really good performance in the GA aircraft in one of the most detailed cities in the game.

  20. I decided to take take the Citation Longitude on my first flight on a route from EGLC to LOWI. The overall weather in London was calm and sunny this morning, with a few scattered clouds about. With the wind coming from the west, take-off was going to be from RWY 27 towards Tower Bridge. Getting ready for departure, for some reason there was no pushback available through the ATC menu, though clearly the pushback service was lurking about. Climbing towards FL 410 with London and the Thames river in the background. Crossing the channel towards France. The reflective detail on the water looks superb and quite realist…

The airport isn’t too detailed, but Vancouver is one the cities done in photogrammetry, so it looks quite nice out of the box. These shots were done in life weather Thanks for viewing My specs: Intel Core i7-4790 @ 3.6 Ghz, NVidia GeForce GTX970, 32GB RAM Except for clouds and buildings, which I have set to ultra, all my other settings are mostly in high, with a few like trees, water in medium. I have even over cities like Vancouver no stutters etc. My FPS are set to 30 max
