The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

0B8 - KPVD (I highly recommend flying in and around 0B8/BID/MVY/ACK area) A late afternoon flight past KWST, East towards Newport Bridge, North over Quonset airfield, and landing RWY 34 KPVD. This sim would be incredible with a Lancair or RV7! Enjoy! Kind regards to you all out there in the big wide world that I am now starting to discover thanks to MSFS 2020. Richard

Here are a few in Chicago area with the Virus (took me a bit to find the emergency brake). The weather is another modified theme (I dont remember which one but maybe clear skies? - dont know if it matters). yes - clear skies modified. Heres the weather file in case anyone likes it: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <SimBase.Document Type="WeatherPreset" version="1,3"> <Descr>AceXML Document</Descr> <WeatherPreset.Preset> <Name>200828_04temp scattered puffy</Name> <Image>weather/presets/clear_sky.jpg</Image> <Icon>we…

Not as impressed as I have been with some of the other places I've tried. Apart from this one central burst of fancy towers it seems to be mostly quite generic apartment blocks everywhere. Still a whole lot better than anything in the other two main sims, in my eyes, and for all I know Shanghai may actually look like that. My only visual experience of Shanghai is via a book of early 20th century photos, so I guess it was never going to look like that in the sim! So a few shots around the central towers as I get to grips with the drone camera and all its options. Great fun!

Did some tuning to my system via some well known tweaks (nothing fancy, no OC'ing, nothing deep into any cfgs, affinity mask, ect....just normal windows stuff to optimize the MSFS process). This sim is running better than any other sim has before it....and the visuals are a sight to behold (as we've all seen). My favorite trip right now has to be ROTA Naval base in Spain to Gibraltar...the screen above is while I'm en route...simply gorgeous! Here is one complaint though....the lights on the wind generators are too goofy...need to be turned down (you can see them way too far in the distance and they are red blobs. We'll probably be able to fix that ourse…

Another place I've been to a few times, and never seen a good version in a sim until now. Looking forward to being able to explore some of these places in a helicopter or paramotor or similar eventually. Jackson Square, with the French Quarter around and behind it and the wonderful Cafe du Monde in the French Market building to the right at the bottom of the shot. Truly wonderful coffee and beignets (donuts) to be had there and reason enough in itself to visit the city The French Quarter

The default lighting is mind boggling. After flying around for some time working on a engine mod for the VL3, I looked around and saw this! 0B8sunset1 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr

This looks like a well done city, on first impressions. Haven't explored all over yet, just headed for the obvious. Still playing with the drone cam. Sorry about this, but I couldn't help myself - It's lonely at the top! As a man who gets vertigo standing on a tall kerb, I wouldn't fancy being a maintenance guy or fitter for this kit Perhaps I shouldn't have my name plastered all over the plane if I'm going to behave like this. I might not be allowed back in (over) the country again. Hmmm, I may have to return here soon, something in the background here looks like a challenge! but for now - to infi…

Another place that has been ignored in previous sims. Well worth a visit now. Hope some nice shiny new airports are on their way too. Just a few around the Forbidden City (And no - I've not been there <grin>)

Thought I'd check out Hearst Castle, San Simeon. An absolutely magical place and I wondered if it had had some Asobo loving. Apparently not, unfortunately. Or maybe it's fallen on hard times since I last saw it - it looks like it's been replaced by a modern complex Maybe somebody will come up with the whole estate as an addon.

I hadn't worked on this since late July. It was hard to open XP11 with all the hubbub from MSFS hehe. Anyway here it is...sorta a PITA! Good enough for government work though. (The area in the sim is near Santa Barbara KSBA - airport by GPB500 and Orbx TE SoCal) Oh there is a weird little bump near the empenage with the red color... I fixed that for the most part and is reflected in my zip file. insim2 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr insim3 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr insim4 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr insim5 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr

Tonight threw a dart and started in India. The 208 handled my selected arrival, transition and approach that I setup with Navigraph Desktop charts. The waypoints match including a 17nm DMe curve to final. The only problem was the terminal procedure chart Localizer freq was not recognized. Fun! Bob

It's been a while LOL! In my ongoing trip to Sydney paying extremely rough homage to the 1969 Air Race, I decided that I should reposition to Dubai because trying to get to Karachi would no doubt leave me a bit short in the avgas department. The real Islanders had ferry tanks as you all know. Not too many pics as I just flew almost direct to Dubai down the Persian Gulf. A bit of haze moving over OKBK Miles of water to go... Dodging some building thunder clouds to relieve the tedium! Visual for RWY12L OMDB Down she goes. Maybe an iced tea rather than getting the kettle on perhaps? …

Recent complaints I've read on here about New York city included 'Apocalyptic' and 'too many trees'. Are we all seeing different things? Heres what I saw and yes, it was quite barren until I got close. I figured it was because I had never been there before and it took time to download. I just can't tell why we seem to be seeing multiple sims at the same time.
