The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Here is a set of screenshots that shows visuals on a 5 year old PC - i5 6600, 8 gigs of ram, 4 gig AMD video card, etc. etc. I fly from not so dense areas into not so dense airports, this way I get flyable frame rates (around 18-20 fps). Flight was IFR from Nice LFMN to Heringsdorf EDAH; ILS RW 28. The plane flew the approach flawlessly, ATC even gave me the correct altitudes, and the TBM slid down the glideslope like a Stripper on a greasy pole. No editing, sharpening, etc. was done to the pics. Total flight time: around 2:42 hours from take-off to shut down. …

Here are pics I took to show compatibility: Aerosoft KDAB LVFR KEYW LVFR KFLL Cielosim KJAX T2G KMCO LVFR KMIA LVFR KRSW FT KTPA There are some issues with KTPA, but most airports work well as long as you disable .bgl files in TE folders that pertain to your payware airports and that you also ensure airports are above TE FL in the scenery library. I highly recommend TE-FL if you are a Florida resident or love to fly in FL. Jose

Much as I don't like to leave my wonderful apartment in Monaco <grin>, I went for a little trip from La Mole (the airport for St Tropez), to St Tropez, around the headland there, and then back along the coast towards the west. The airport itself is pretty, quite rural Nice car park! and this is the town of La Mole itself turn back east and head out to the coast Now that I've got a couple of buttons set up to increase/decrease the sim speed as required, I quite like the Cub. When I just want to get on to the next POI I can hit boost and then this little beauty really flies (if I can say that in this context) This is S…

To climb over this mountain! A VFR flight from Palm Springs to Carlsbad, CA (KPSP-KCRQ) I've got to say, while I had missed the flight modeling and my precious GTN in XP11, the scenery of MSFS, on its own, almost makes up for it hehe. thepower by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr thepower2 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr thepower3 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr thepower4 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr thepower5 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr thepower6 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr thepower7 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr thepower8 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr thepower10 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr thepower11 by Ry…

Over this Labor Day holiday, I (finally) picked up, on SALE, (the nice) FLYSIM Lear 35A and also a new Airport (Tallinn X)...I've been eyeing both of these for quite some time, but, never got to make them mine...And, since MSFS is not immediately due for me (will be in a few months, I'm sure...🙂...), I said to myself why not add a bit of (extra) spice to my SIM for now...And, I was not disappointed today...based, purely, on a very quick test flight...without even a close examination of the excellent and highly readable (included) 35A (SIM) manual (nicely illustrated and annotated, but not too long...in pages...for Simmers like me...🙂...)... Here, for this post, for a…

I like to spend some time studying the regions where I fly. So I decided to take my Icon A5 and go on a Norway tour. I fly with landmarks only by Alt-Tab-ing with Bing maps, no compass, no GPS - and most important no pause when on Bing maps. Therefore I planned my tour accordingly and each leg should be around 1.5-2h, which includes the usual getting-lost detours. Tour Plan: Tromso(ENTC)-Gradussan(ENEN)-Rossvoll(ENRA)-Namsos(ENMM)-Fagerhaug(ENOP)-Haukasen(ENSG)-Sola(ENSV) Conditions: Broken Clouds, each start at 10am. Broken clouds make it a bit harder and visually more pleasing. Start 1st leg: Tromso. Tromso is a cultural centre in the polar re…

The combination of the drone cam, an X-box controller, and this sort of scenery opens up some amazing levels of exploration. All shots in 4k, with ultra settings I mean, even the reflections in the windows . . . that rooftop is pretty impressive Below is from the roof of the tower block in the previous pictures, looking back up at our apartment (the ones about a third of the way in from the left, on the hillside) And the harbour from that roof - just look at the rendering of that concrete on the wall. And as it is supposed to be a flight sim (<grin>), here's a plane! (Heading west from Monaco - plenty …

So, continuing on from the headland behind St Tropez lots of wonderful little towns and villages along this coast. Well, you'd be crazy not to use it if you could . . . I didn't know anything about the next place that caught my eye. Turns out to be something called Les Salins-d'Hyères, a salt marsh that was used up till 1995 for salt production, but is now a wildlife sanctuary, I think. Looks beautiful in the bright mediterranean light, I could happily doze there with a book and a bottle for hours. I think (I wasn't really concentrating on the map) this is the Cap de l'Aigle at La Ciotat, about two thirds of the way between Toulon a…

After I had successfully ported the a2a FSX Bf 109 to MSFS (although the gauges do not work), my next attempt was the Spitfire. The a2a version did not work, but the Just Flight Mk 1A was a success. All instruments work, only the tires, exhaust and the pilot seem to have an issue. I need to have a look at this. Of course, I will not share this and once the real MSFS versions will be introduced, I will delete them and buy the new versions. But for now, it’s a total blast to tour Great Britain's countryside in the Spitfire low and fast. I hope you allow me to share a few pics with you that show the area around Edinburgh. …

A enjoyable flight from Saint Louis Downtown (CPS) to St Louis Regional (ALN). I visited this area as a child (first airliner flight by myself) to see an old friend. I don't know if it still exists but there was a "floating McDonald's" on a barge when I went. Anyone know if its still there? Who knows this iconic place for Georgia Tech fans? The level of detail is amazing. And its default! Bonus points for knowing what the round, tall structure is just behind my left wing.
