The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Left from one of the coolest airports in South Fla 07FA, up to KORL....tipping my wings at KMIA as I pass by. Loving the clouds....so much better, volumetric, low FPS hit than P3D ever was. Flying in and out of them is just gorgeous.

The year is 1937 and in order to maintain peace at its Western border with Afghanistan, the British used to patrol the area with bomber planes such as the Hawker Hind. This an actual photo of a Hind patrolling along the Afghanistan border Unfortunately there is no Hawker plane of that area available (at least I haven’t found any), so I use the nice Aeroplane Heaven Bristol Bulldog instead and have ported it to MSFS. Btw, I have done a similar flight a few years back with the same plane in P3D and wasn’t too impressed with the scenery. This time is different. Of course, as already stated in previous posts, I will use this port-over onl…

A flight online at PilotEdge from 1G4 - KVGT. Everything went pretty well except nearing Vegas my fps tanked a few times due to all the photogrammetry/AG. I guess I'll have to lower them more for online flight. Also would love to get the navdata working better/G1000 more operational. I flew only using the VOR. Kinda pathetic for a G1000 equipped Bonanza. Minus the frames issues (and the lack of decent G1000) the lighting and flying was excellent Coming up on Lake Mead Untitled by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Untitled1 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Untitled2 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Untitled3 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr KLSV Nel…

Tried out a few more port overs. In most cases, even when it works it doesn't really result in anything that matches the sim, Standards of lighting, reflection etc don't match up. I've had a couple of planes though that I will use regularly and hope to be able to replace with modern versions eventually. This was a failure, which is a real shame as I've got a few nice boats of one sort or another and I like the water environment in MSFS (lack of wake and other reaction will get fixed at some point, I hope). Paint didn't come across, and no motion possible. This flies, but needs to be slewed into the air and the finish is a bit off. No instruments (thi…

Just a few pics of the Gisborne NZ airport (Orbx) and my AgTruck, which is actually pretty fun to fly and a bit of a challege given its primary roll is low to the ground and more seat of the pants flying. In this I've replaced the taxi and landing lights with shockwave types. And of course it rained on and off for the entire flight. Notice the train tracks and train crossing the runway?

As follow-up to my earlier Albatros D. III post on the Red Baron, and the comments exchanged therein, here are screenshots of the last fighter aircraft (Fokker Dr. I), that Manfred von Richthofen flew, when he met with his fatal injury, plus a few more (colorful) repaints (the first 7 screenshots) for A2A's Albatros Dr.III (Oeffag). I've included two shots each (last 4 images) for the (rare) "three-winged" Fokker Dr. I. The first pair, the 3-color-mix paint belonged to the Red Baron, and the all-red paint (the last two screenshots) actually belonged to Franz Wolferd, as portrayed in the 2006 film "Flyboys". You may notice the 9-cylinder air-cooled rotary piston …

[Note: Here is an (ambitious) history lesson for me and those who are interested (I'm sure there are many folks here...who are quite familiar with the topic)...this is the timeless story of Manfred von Richthofen, the Ace of Aces, the legendary pilot of WW I. Personally speaking, Richthofen's story has intrigued me for many years...But, I admit, before I had come to know the "A" of "Aviation", my only exposure to "Red Baron"...was via the box-covers of a popular (Frozen) Pizza Brand...in the U.S...🙂...a namesake and coincidental similarity with the "original" Red Baron, that is the subject of this post. Anyway, two coincidences, this week, prompted me for the post (1) My …
