The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

  4. I flew around here a lot during Alpha but they don't want us to post any shots from that version. So here I've done something similar. Departing Page KFMY head SW towards the southern part of Sanibel Island. Then I fly north along the shore (where I spent two vacations as a small child). I remember picking up shells on the beach and recall tons of pelicans on the shoreline.... and the gators along JN Ding Darling Nature Preserve. I remember going down to the southern tip of the island and playing on the white sand beach with the lighthouse - and wading on the sandbars with sting rays gliding along next to my feet! (sometimes I asked my dad to pick me up because …

  5. [Note: Here, we sometimes mention and display the 737 Classic planes, but, not that often, the "747" Classic, which includes the 747 (-100/-200) Pax and (-200F) Cargo variants. Lovers of the 747 Classic, and I know there are many here, probably already know of the Just Flight's 747 Classic "In Development", by JF's in-house team. I examined it today, and it looks and seems wonderful (just view the numerous screenshots there - Kalitta and Atlas fans, especially). And, if you are more knowledgeable (than I) about this plane's avionics, characteristics etc., you may wish to contribute your suggestions to JF. And, I envy most of you, here, because, this SIM will be (rightly s…

  10. Hi Folks, Still discovering many interesting things in P3D simming. Like just discovered the Grumman Goose Redux where I spent some time on the weekend working out what it takes to install as an xml add-on and then customising to suit. Also discovering tiltshift shaders and what you can do with with tiltshift for some interesting pics. Here's the Goose where I've added dynamic lighting, Real Trim gauge, GPS2020, also gave the rear wheel a bit of turn control functionality, created a hybred fx wake file to get rid of wake flicker that happens when there are actual waves, plus extra liveries (there's lots) and fixed paths and files etc. to enable install…

Moonlit nights are a such a soothing and immersive pleasure to fly thanks to MSFS's gorgeously lit night time clouds. Here's Carenado's Mooney Ovation M20R headed into a full moon dusk at 16k above western Colorado. I could easily overshoot my destination and run out of fuel just enjoying that intoxicating view...

Just a fun little 80 mile trip from Atlantic Ocean to Gulf of Mexico. Nearing sunset, and you'll see I was forced down by clouds (marine layer? Does Florida get those?) while coming into the pattern at RSW. Departure airport F45 is available as a freeware scenery - pretty well done! Of course another shameless plug for our VL3 mod - with a 10 kt tailwind and smooth air I nearly hit 200 knots over the ground. route by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Untitled by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Untitled2 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Untitled4 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Glamour shot! 15. Just me, a big girl in the moonlight... and jet noise... Same flight plan as the A330 trip EGGP to LPPR, except using the A340-300 and finding out that SIDs and STARs can be input into the MCDU after loading in the plan from the company route folder... I don't think I used a transition though.. more research.. D'oh..

A few impressions from a flight. Plane crashed due to pilot incompetence, so it's not a complete flight. Note the different interface on the Garmin 3X. Weather is handled by Rex Weather Force. Transitions were surpisingly smooth.
