The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

[Note: My interest in the Constellation was solidified, several years ago, when I had a chance to visit the TWA L-1049 (N6937C) at the Airline History Museum, in Kansas City, Missouri. So, here, we go with the story of the birth of the Constellation, affectionately nicknamed "Connie",...(take your time to read the text, below,...🙂...or jump to the screenshots - in 2 sets)...] On the AHM Museum's Website, you can look up the beautiful images of the (above cited) Constellation, pristinely restored and sheltered indoors. In 1986, this plane was literally pulled away from the jaws of the scrapping machines, from the Plane Graveyard of Falcon Field, in Mesa, Arizona. A de…

I caught sight of a Cessna 140, today, at the top of Freeware Files List in the Library, probably, because of its nostalgic appeal... Model 140, was the first commercially successful plane, that Cessna manufactured after returning to production, after World War II. So, the Cessna 140 may be considered the true "beginning" of the illustrious Cessna lineage...[Side Note: There was also a Cessna Model 120 (an economy version of the 140), built about the same time as the 140. However, it was actually the 140 that had flown first (1945 vs. 1946).] I've also included for comparison an image of the Cessna 150 (the tricycle gear trainer and successor to the C140), that …

Folks: Here is the 2nd set of images of the TWA L-049 Constellation, (NC90831) "Star of Switzerland", for the 2nd half of the flight (of Part I), from Burbank, California, to Washington, D.C. It was all a few hours of good fun and learning. Hope you enjoy, too...! Thanks for viewing...!! [JF/AH(L-049), MSE(CO), Drzewiecki Design(KDCA)]

..Especially when you soar the skies in the most sexy turboprop there is (the Q400 must excuse): Beechcraft KingAir 350i. Milviz rendition is a stock 350 with Collins PL21 glass. But there are buffed up Blackhawk (Xp67a) modified B350 with 25% more horsepower and 50knots faster cruise speed. Let's pray that Milviz makes the sensible choice of releasing an XP67a model 😊 In the meantime, I let's enjoy what we already have

Over on Youtube, Air Clips have finally posted the 3rd leg of a Lufthansa MD-11F return trip to Frankfurt, piloted by Inge and Claudia, namely Hong Kong to Novosibirsk, so of course I decided to follow suit with my own simulated MD-11f flight. Link to their trip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbXoFFBxglY TOW of 263 tons at VHHH. Fuel 64900kg, I had 65 tons on board. I think cargo was 65 tons (I misheard. I think Inge said more than 84 tons on on board!)... In the sim, the pilot flying, i.e ME! may be far uglier looking, but the jet is still beautiful.. Climbing out of Hong Kong (FSX NOTAM: I had inadvertently reduced the shipping traffic…

I haven't felt this good about a landing for some time.. more about it later. A bit of a long story with the images, but this was a "proper" flight in so far as how I usually fly the big jets in FSX (load up a flight plan into FSX and have the stock ATC along for the ride and final vectoring... ). It was an experiment to see if the haters of the product are actually right and I should bin it as not fit for purpose (MY answer is most definitely not!!). Note I said haters of the product and not haters of the developer's way of handling their business. That is a totally different kettle of fish! Thanks to the excellent IMHO Pre Flight Manager, this DHL liveried A330 fre…
