The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

My first complete flight in the G36 Turbo Bonanza, climbing out over Monroe Reservoir just outside Bloomington, Indiana. Thank you Robert Young for the great enhanced G36 model. Had a great 3.6 hour flight to Pawtucket, Rhode Island, for my Baltimore Raven's SNF game vs the Patriots. Was happy to get this scenic morning shot as just a bit later the enroute weather turned ugly for two-and-a-half hours. Had a 50 knot tailwind and the turbo working for me but it was bumpy ride....

There's a really nice scenery release for the San Juan Island area: https://flightsim.to/file/3349/san-juan-islands-washington I took to the skies in some nice small craft and checked out some of the airports Also some of the airports aren't specifically in that location but are near it- those are mentioned in the link above. route by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr 1RL by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr 1RL_2 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr 7WA5_2 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr 61WA by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr 90WA_2 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr 90WA_4 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr icon1 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr icon2…

Don't normally go near these things, but every now and then. I just set from and to airports and let "AI fly my plane" to give me a chance to see these things doing their job. I'm sure this is a thing known to everyone else, but all the liveries I have for the 747 seem to be reversed on the starboard side (text running backwards) - is this a known bug? Is there anything I can do about it? Seems alright with the default plane (here) Magnificent things, and maybe one day I'll get around to trying to learn how to use one properly, but for now, this is fine for me I noticed that the AI seemed to be going way off route so …

@cavaricooper and I took a hop from Rota, Spain, to the Rock (well the "other" one in this part of the world, hehe) The rolling Spanish landscape was just spectacular! I was flying low...Carl was "High Cover" 🙂 Flying into the morning sun.... We overflew the runway on a leisurely trip around the rock....the default scenery is amazing...can't see myself buying this (sorry Payware friends...this one is great for me as is...not to worry though...still a LOT of the world to build for 😉 ) Back side looking good...the reflection is great! The other end of the Rock that never seems to get as much attention as the big star …

Mountains are no issue for the turbocharged Mooney. Everything was going swell until I found how MSFS rendered Castle Lakes private strip.... (I didn't include the landing picture because I didn't want to admit that I crashed my plane haha - in my defense the gravel strip appeared to be a river!) Anyway this area is super scenic - I recommend a journey around these parts. B777 is a remarkable plane which I'd the chance to travel on, more than a few times. And, in spite of my decades of association with Lufthansa, I'd never got to fly in a B777. This is because, it so happens, in spite of LH's historic association with Boeing, their modern fleet, carried no B777. [Side Note: Lufthansa was, however, supposed to be the Launch customer for the (latest) B777-9X/777X, but, it appears, their plans have changed since, and it might(?) be actually the Emirates (subject Airline of this post) that would be the first operator of that type, instead]. B777 was an incredibly successful, popular, and reliable long-haul airliner in commercial deploymen…

In the Freeware upload files, today, I caught sight of a few new liveries for the Airbus A350 XWB...(the latest and greatest from Airbus, aimed at the extra-long-haul twin-jet market...)... "Ethiopian" A350-900 "Virgin Atlantic "Rosie Lee"" A350-1000 "Air Caraibes" A350-900 "Turkish Airlines" A350-900 "French Bee" A350-900 Notice the two "6-wheel" main landing gear trucks on the -1000 variant (vs. two "4-wheel" trucks on the -900). And, little-known, French Bee (styled as "French bee"...🙂...see livery), formerly known as "French Blue", is a low-cost, long-haul airline based at Paris Orly Airport, consisting of a fleet of only A350 aircraft. Hop…

Do I even need to finish the title? 🙂 Recall in my last post I was going from KABQ to Winslow, AZ and made a stop in between as I couldn't finish the flight. I completed it this morning....and although not good resolution (and the goofy tall autogen buildings)...the Route66 marker in that famous spot is there in MSFS! Below you can see the airport at the top of the screen, and the arrow points to the marker. The flight was beautiful in the early morning with crisp desert air.... Again....departed from this small, closed airport.... Beautiful views no matter what side of the plane you look out from. Passenger snapped a pic…

I installed some new stuff today: Due to the time which Gary and Christopher spent on helping me to resolve my missing Doncaster Extreme buildings problem, not to mention their patience, I decided to increase my support for UK2000 and add to my collection by purchasing Belfast Extreme. Other developers also support the "dead" sims by putting out products even now, hence the DC Designs Concorde . I shall peruse the forum posts of the "Concorde Cognoscenti" for tips (in addition to giving the manual a once-over!) 🍻
