The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Today, I found, among the freeware upload files, in the Library, this interesting looking (classic) military trainer, the Jet Provost, one of the earliest military Jet aircraft (first flight 1954), that proved highly successful in the "ab initio" (basic) training role. [Side Note: "Ab initio" (meaning “from the beginning”) programs are sponsored training programs that take an individual with very little or no flight experience (like yours truly, I guess,...🙂...) and create a competent, professional pilot, employing well-trained and standardized instructors to train different phases of instruction.] The Hunting name is associated with the plane, because the design work was…

[Note: The Fokker name has been familiar to me, since the earliest days of my interest in aviation (long before the start of my "pretend-pilot" days...🙂...). But there was, in particular, one (early) SIM aircraft that had brought the name closer to me and had made me look into its fascinating history. That SIM was "Digital Aviation (F1) Fokker 70/100". Although it noticeably lacked a Virtual Cockpit, what a wonderful simulation of this aircraft, it was, for its time...! I read a bit today about this SIM on Flight1 website (1) "The main goal for this product is to simulate every system in the Fokker 70 and 100 aircraft. 4 years of development so far have made this one of t…

The first 727-100 (N7001U) flew on February 9, 1963, designated for United Airlines. But, it was Eastern Airlines, that put the 727-100 (Reg. N8107N), first, into commercial passenger service. It was flown by Eastern Air Lines on February 1, 1964, between Miami, Washington, DC, and Philadelphia. Here, often, I get prompted for a new (virtual) flight (and the desire to share my experience) by one or more (concurrent) factors. Here are my triggers for today's post: Someone here...🙂...was recently lamenting (oh well...may be not really "lamenting" but just "stating"...) that the MSFS Bonanza (a wonderful touring plane, indeed) had to be flown using the VOR ("Kind…

@Todd2 posted some pix of this bunch of freeware addons the other day, and it inspired me to go check it out. Glad I did, some nice touches here. I definitely have a preference for modelled scenery, rather than photogrammetry (if the close up nastiness ever gets resolved it'll be wonderful, but until then - not for me) and so this sort of thing is great for exploring. It's all on flightsim.to if you want to grab it - just check out scenery for Uruguay. As the man said - I'll be back.

I mainly fly the C172 classic with the N4975F replica livery but after seeing that Rober Young sharing his modification of the Bonanza G36, I couldn't resist. In term of engine and plane management, it's a new world for me as I have zero experience in real world. But with the included documentation and some Internet research, it seems to be easier than expected. Nav is... straightforward. My MSFS is my training device for Foreflight on iPad (connected to MSFS). It displays MSFS Trafics 😉 Departing from San Gabriel El Monte (KEMT). The freeware scenery from JosueMejia is available right there. Positive climb... Gear Up ! ![Microsoft Flig…
