The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

A few days ago we flew from Friedrichshafen at Lake Constance to Zell am See in Austria. Today’s flight will bring us further south to Bolzano, a city in Northern Italy. That is in itself nothing special of course. The interesting part of it will be the area we are about to fly over: it’s the “Puez-Geisler Nature Park” (Italian: Parco Naturale Puez-Odle), which is a nature reserve in the Dolomites in South Tyrol, Italy. It’s one of the most spectacular mountain sites the Alps have to offer. We take off from Zell am See And here we are at the eastern entry to the park. What you have seen earlier, is pa…

Had a wonderful group flight with @cavaricooper and @Ron Attwood this evening. We took the outstanding Carbon Cub and just had a blast! Taxiing out..... Just after a really short takeoff roll (this thing begs you to fly when you push the throttle forward!) I'll be high in some of these shots and deemed the official photographer for the flight....I was the only one with a proper camera. 🙂 (The other guys may have snapped a shot or 2 with their phones, hehe) Heading out just off the coast...will follow the shoreline for a bit.... Cruising by the pier at Santa Barbara....hope a modder fixes it...it is a lovely place in real life! …

Taking the economical Diamond DA40 up for the first time for what I term a $50 Hamburger run. I know, I know! It's a $100 Hamburger run, but there are two of us aboard. Ten gallons of 100LL Avgas at $4.09 self serve, some flight time, and $14.00 each for food including tip. Add it up, ÷ 2. It gets there! Longer runs will certainly be back in the colloquial $100 range. Up off KMTN Martin State Airport with a nice view of downtown Baltimore, Maryland, and the Baltimore inner harbor. A bit of a fisheye look at Baltimore’s M&T Bank NFL football and Camden Yards MLB baseball stadiums. After a turn north, this is a swing into southeast Penns…

In the real estate world a "Comp" is a comparable property in the surrounding area of a house you're looking at, to compare the overall value of the property you may want to buy with others in the area. I can only imagine selling real estate in this area and having to include this little shack in the listing...must be bringing down all the property values in the area like crazy! 🤣 Very nicely rendered in the new US update.

Lost Acres is about 5 miles from my house so it's my home airstrip in the game. I actually went there to inquire about getting my pilots license but I have diabetes. Poor lineup to the grass strip to the right since I was trying to get the picture. Should have lined up then hit the pause key lol.

[Motivated by my previous post on Fokker-50 (who doesn't like a twin Turboprop...🙂...?), here I follow up on the Fokker Legacy by reverting to the (impressive) Fokker F70 twinjet, that I'd alluded to earlier. For ensuring the "safety" of my (virtual) flight operation (i.e. no CTD on my moderate system...🙂...), I did, today, a fresh installation of this (Flight1) F70 (and also opted for less than my optimal FSX/SE setting). Regarding this F1/DA F70/F100 package: I'm always curious and wish to know, at least, a few "names" behind any quality aircraft SIM. So, those of you (many here, I know) who own/fly/enjoy the (more) recent AS/DA CRJ (I do too), may like to note that thi…

[I caught this file, from the Library, with the Author/Contributor's Readme saying, "This is what I've been up to while in lockdown - 10 new liveries for the Milton Shupe/Eagle Rotorcraft de Havilland DHC-7...". A worthy effort...worth taking a look, I thought...] We are familiar, in our SIM world, here, with DHC-3 Otter, DHC-6 Twin Otter, and, of course, the popular DHC-8 Dash 8 (especially the Q-Series, -400). But, the (intermediate) sibling between DHC-6 and DHC-8, the DHC-7 Dash 7, is, somewhat, less known. Not surprisingly, below are the relative numbers of units of each built (DHC6/DH7/DHC8): DHC-6 (985) DHC-7 (113) DHC-8 (1,249) DHC7 first flew i…

This bird is simply stunning....not sure why I didn't grab it when it was 1st released. (Oh yeah....too busy flying every other fantastic plane in this sim, LOL) @Todd2 seems to be coving the beauty of the Italian countryside...so I thought I'd post a pic of a beautiful Italian plane instead. 🙂 I felt my 1st shot of her over Vesuvius was fitting....beautiful Italian mountain (with an ominous history) 🙂 Changed her dress for the next set of shots. 🙂 Icing well done...and the cockpit is one of the best I've seen yet. Very fun and easy to fly...and a nice ride when you need to get somewhere faster than a Bonanza ca…

I did this flight two days ago and had a free add-on for Monument Valley installed. As one can see, it comes out really well. The plane is the Aeroplane Heaven Bristol Bulldog for P3D v3, which I ported over to MSFS. Thanks for viewing
