The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

A nice look at fall foliage courtesy of Bijan at BijanStudio and his Fall Season mod. Passing over eastern Connecticut, the Thames River reflecting as it flows toward Groton and the Long Island Sound. Groton is the home of the U.S. Navy's major east coast submarine base. Yes you Brits, there is a Thames River over here.... Now over south central Connecticut with a view of New Haven Harbor and the Quinnipiac river at the Fair Haven, New Haven area. New Haven was the first "planned city" in the U.S. and was home to the famous inventor Eli Whitney (the cotton gin among his many inventions), Yale University, and the Winchester Rifle Co. among its other hi…

There's a large amount of freeware for this city on Flightsim.to from 2 developers from unTopo and Santymetal23. Takes alot to download all of it but it's worth it if you want a new area to fly in.

  10. Hoping a modder will add the details to this macabre place...a place the world should not forget (but in reality, a place I wish never existed). Its between the wing and tail....

  15. [Note: It's well-known, without add-on sceneries, there is hardly anything to "see" in the FSX landscape. In the FSX past, most of us, have crossed vast distances across the world (low and high) without any perceptible scenery variation at all. Even though we may be flying the best of payware aircraft, this deficiency is severe. I realize the scenery developers have created excellent add-ons to make up for it, still to freely roam around the world and be able to see regional variations in scenery is a powerful reality of the new SIM. I also gather that a steady stream of local/airport specific (MSFS) enhancements, are, already, being actively and continually contributed t…

  16. Started by Phantoms,

Took a flight from KRNO to KSLC in the Bonanza Turbo. It started out as a beautiful morning flight until about half way there icing came on very quick. Got clearance to descend 10,000ft to get into some warmer (1-3) air. Spent the second half of the flight in the dreary slaw until it cleared a little getting close to Salt Lake.

  20. Hehe....now that song is in your head....isn't it? While this may be obvious...not sure all simmers know this trick if you want snow and mother nature (and the fact live weather in the sim is still wonky) is not playing nice, you can adjust the snow to whatever you want to see on the ground...regardless of time of year. Realistic? Of course not. (recall this sentence when you post that its not very realistic.) 😉 Pretty, and if Live Weather was working the way it's supposed to, you betcha'!!! One day, when Live Weather is working 100%...Asobo can take this "feature" out of the sim...for now though...it's nice to have when you KNOW it's snowing where your pl…

National Flag assigned to tail - BoooYah Departing RW07 Heading to the southern part of the island - with Montserrat - TRPG in the distance Close Ups of this magnificent livery Admiring the ocean blue as we pass Jolly Habour (another popular tourist resort) Approaching one of the famous beaches on the island - Darkwood beach Further into the southern side bypassing another exclusive tourist resort - Curtain Bluff in the rear distance. Also with visibility being in our favor today, the islands of Nevis and St. Kitts can be seen in the far distance. Enjoy!!
