The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Thought I'd see what some of the out of the way parts of Siberia (are there any other parts?) looked like, and the AN-225 seemed like it might be at home here. So, delivering a week's supply of Stoly from UHPP, Yellzove in Kamchatka over to UEEE, Yakutsk. A short internal hop of around 2000 km. Even I can't find much to explore down there After a fair bit of the above, we're approaching Yakutsk. where we encounter some weirdness As you can see, this is a converted aircraft with not a lot going on in the cockpit. But you can at least see out of the windows! Can't talk n…

Had a good look around this area. I feel almost disloyal saying this, but I've never been a big fan of the Orbx version of this airport, or more accurately, the surrounding area. Not sure why, it's just never really worked for me. These are with the LatinVFR airport and a freeware San Diego landmarks pack, and apart from a couple of the usual photogrammetry oddities, I think this is a much better setup. This was interesting. In the shot below, there's an airport handler guy towards the bottom of the screen. While I was paused I noticed him doing what looked like Michael Jackson impersonations! So I grabbed a few shots and I'll post his routine separately. Defini…

Love the whole Japan update, and Tokyo is amazing. Thought I'd go see the mountain while I was there If you look just to the left of centre of the far crater ridge you can see some buildings zooming in a bit closer and closer still nice views! Well, it is the land of the Rising Sun - carry on round the mountain And that's it from me for a bit, till I do some more trips.

Cruising around with "headings my discretion" while on top, and an eventual ILS RWY 16R at KPAE Man, if only Asobo would open up this flight model to the users... The avionics are okay, but you really have to watch your weights and airspeeds with this while hand flying.... and watch your AoA! One nice thing seems to be a general (but not total) trend of lower prices for the payware addons for MSFS. Not everybody is doing it, but I suspect they will in time. This is a nice bit of scenery. Airport is middle distance in first shot. and the marina looks pretty inviting

As mentioned in a previous post, I found a right little raver working at KSAN. Spotted this guy while paused, and had to zoom in and watch. I love it when you discover these little treats. now watch the guy down the bottom of the above screen in action - (oh, and there's no aircraft or anything else anywhere near the guy - I guess he was just bored!) Ground services will never seem the same again

I'd read somewhere that the Bing maps used in the sim were quite out of date, and I suddenly thought maybe Candlestick Park might still be there outside SF. It was torn down a while back, and then the planned new offices were scrapped and I believe it's just a building site/open space right now. Orbx's TrueEarth has got the office development that never happened, but the stadium is gone from the sims generally. Not that I'm a big baseball (I assume) fan, but I do like a nice stadium in the sim, plus more importantly, it was the site of the last ever Beatles live appearance back in the day. So I went looking, and it was there. Took a few shots so I've got a record for…

Like the title says - been out and about a bit. Shanghai first (Samscene payware) Then somewhere warmer - DOHA Istanbul, and then up the Bosphorus towards the Black Sea A Dubaious bit of architecture This is fun. Guitar Hotel, just outside Fort Lauderdale FLA And to finish this leg, we've been watching the Canadian comedy series "Corner Gas" on TV recently. Set in a (very) small Saskatchewan town, and I realised I know very little about that part of the world. The writer (Brent Butt) was raised in Tisdale, SK, and the series was apparently based around the his ide…

haven't posted any pix for a while, been setting up and sorting out with the sim and my quickly accumulating scenery. Got a copy of the Addons Linker and got myself organised, and got the sim settled down (for now) with a couple of tweaks, and have been out sightseeing. When I do get to fly, I continue to be stunned by how good this mostly is. I do get a bit dissapointed with some of the photogrammetry, but I'm gradually learning to not get too close to it. Anyway, here's a small set around the Matterhorn (freeware addon upgrade). Setting off from AO02, round the 'horn (ah, one of my favourite old radio shows), and eventually coming down at Sion (I think, can't actua…
