The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

I'm done dialing in my custom NVIDIA Freestyle profile, using selected Reshade shaders including Ambient Light and Bloom to simulate a Raytracing effect and finetune the final image of the simulator for a more natural yet cinematic look. It works flawlessly, improves upon MSFS'S vibrant atmosphere and has no performance impact. The "color bleeding" and amplification of the light enhances the cockpit and exterior views adding to the overall realism of the scene. It's especially useful in recreating a high altitude cockpit atmosphere. Additionally, my preset corrects the slightly overexposed sky (incl. clouds) and adds a vignette and chromatic aberration effect at the edges…

This week, in the freeware Library, I noticed this (FSX) 747-100 repaint file that had somehow sneaked its way...🙂...to the top of the Top 50 Downloads at Flightsim.com, quite an unlikely event, in the current times of the new SIM...(I call such files, "fighters"...🙂...!). Nonetheless, it goes without saying that freeware SIM files are always a great pleasure, to peruse, on a regular basis, in all our SIMs (because...first of all, they don't cost us anything, and occasionally they can even match payware, in terms of their appeal to our individual taste...). In MSFS, I understand, the same (community-driven) freeware tradition seems to be continuing via the multitude of co…

A little flight departing KPVC, climbing above the Boston class B, and then clearance through and a descent into 1B6 Minute Man. Also, another shameless plug for our little VL3 mod (it's a pretty big mod now - 200 ktas way up high or about 170 ktas at 8000, functional autopilot integrated into the G3X per the real one) https://github.com/r9r-dev/fs2020-vl3-rotax915 Workingtitle G3X mod (needed for AP integration): https://github.com/Working-Title-MSFS-Mods/fspackages/releases/tag/gx-v0.1.0-dev1 Untitled-2 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Untitled-1 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Untitled-4 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr (minor issue with the o…

The An-2 (Annushka) does not ever completely leave my mind, it's always in the back of my sub-conscious "SIM" memory...(similar to a Cub or a DC3)...I've known this plane since the FS9 days, thanks to the many freeware models available in the SIM. Years ago, I used to own (and often fly) the fantastic SibWings An-2, but, during my hiatus from SIM and transition to FSX/SE, I somehow lost it on the wayside. However, I was glad to eventually pick up the Aerosoft version of it, which is the version I'm flying, here. It's a development independent of the Sibwings An-2, but, an equally excellent simulation...! Like the Legendary (original) Piper J-3 Cub (and the DHC-3 Otte…

Tallin Airport to EDAH Heringsdorf (Germany) Aircraft: Cessna Citation Longitude Duration of Flight: 1:23 from take off to parking Issues encountered: 0 (except for the already known quirks of the Garmins, the insane fuel burn, etc.) As always no editing was done to the pics.

They actually made it look way more realistic! I only noticed this as we just got some snow here in MSP area. Leading edges are iced, spinner, cowl edges, windows pretty realistically! Neat Although it doesn't seem to shed it when I get above this thin layer... maybe some of you pilots who fly in icing often can explain how that works. icingchange by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr
