The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

The U-Boats have their unforgettable place in WW II history. We'd seen a post, here, a short while ago, about U-96 (a Type VIIC U-Boat), from the Battle Space Series. And, Erwin Welker's (FSX/P3D) Ships, being one of my favorite group of SIM Objects, today, I caught an interesting Library upload file, leading up to this post, which illustrates one of the most remarkable example of another type of U-Boats (the IX Type), the longest range U-Boats. Within the IX series, there were (IXA/IXB/IXC/IXD). And, IXD had two variants (IXD1/IXD2). The IXD1 and IXD2 closely matched each other in almost all respects, except for one, the Nautical Range, in which characteristic, the IXD2 …

This is only the 2nd time, I'm flying the TFDi B717 (-200 variant), that I'd acquired via Orbx SALE (my first ever Aircraft purchase there)....quite a long while ago. In my first test-flight, several months ago, I'd toiled hard through the cold & dark procedure, and, also, had explored the unique historical aspects of this plane's origin ("Is it a DC or a MD or a Boeing - maybe bits of all...?"). Here, I've (deliberately) taken the easy way out, by leveraging the SIM's intuitive ("Ready to Fly") pre-set configuration. The aircraft comes up cold & dark, by default, and, here, all I've done, click the RED TAB, on the TFDi TABLET's user interface (see the 3rd Screens…
