The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

We take off from Cedar City. The default Bryce Canyon looks somewhat ok when compared with other simulators, but this freeware add-on improves the experience considerably. Passing by the Cathedral Thanks for viewing

  7. I flew Leg 3 (PASI to PAEN) of my around the world trip last weekend. The flight was going well until I hit an icing layer that iced up the aircraft - and nothing would clear the ice due to cold OATs, not even descending to traffic pattern altitude and flying around for a while. I ended up landing with the windscreen basically totally iced over, using only a small area on the right hand side. For Leg 4 (PAEN to PAJC) today I managed to avoid any icing. However the weather at PAJC when I arrived was very bad, below VFR minimums. Due to an embarrassing pre-flight checklist error, I took off with 50% fuel and only had ~6 gal of useable fuel remaining…

As someone who has done training IRL at KPIE, this rendition is certainly worthy of consideration. Much better than P3D version. Plus, the dev gives profits to charity. G36 Turbo Mod with custom repaint by Archer374

  11. Whenever I come back, to a "nice" plane/SIM, like this one here, after several months of break, I always feel obliged to look up what new liveries, the Repainters have created in the interim. This is because, it's always in the back of mind that, even though, I might have spent just a few hours flying it, the Repainters have probably spent days (or weeks) on a single paint, and, of course, the DEVs must have spent years...while, I consider myself, part of the majority of "pure" simmers, in the SIM, (i.e. neither involved in painting nor in DEV, but just a freelancer, taking advantage of whatever comes my way...🙂...)....Anyway, for either of the aforesaid (two) groups, the…

  12. My association as a passenger with Lufthansa goes back decades. In the course of it, I have been afforded the opportunity to travel in most of their long-haul jetliners (B747-400/A330/A340/DC10/B747-8 etc.). As far back, as I can remember, Chicago/ORD was a major Hub for Lufthansa, and I clearly recall, on a few occasions, during bitter Chicago cold weather, seated inside the cabin, waiting for departure, while looking out through the window, at the de-icing crew, perched up on their cranes, busy "de-frosting" those huge planes (on one occasion, the plane had to be de-iced twice, I recall, at the Captain's request (as announced), because the safe-time-period, before lift-…

Just some two months on the market and it is amazing, how many freeware talents have already come up with various scenery enhancements to make MSFS even more beautiful. This is also true for Dubai, which is now vastly more realistic looking than out of the box. Arabians prefer for a city tour usually a fancy helicopter that comes equipped with everything the market has to offer. A mere C 172 would never do. As we don’t have helis yet in the sim, I offered them an equally stylishly equipped Citation. We take off from a small airport west of Dubai. I hope, you guys are impressed 🙂 The Jebel Ali North Free Harbor Zone …
