The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Minneapolis, or to be more precise St Paul, was a place I visited several times in my computer teaching days. One of the places that fascinated me as a small-town provincial Brit was the Mall of America. For those who don't know of it, it is (was?) I believe the second biggest shopping mall on the North American continent (the biggest is in Canada somewhere). It is huge, so big that there's a fairground, complete with roller-coaster. in the middle. You can (and I have) waste days just wandering round looking at stuff you don't need to buy and eating food you don't need to eat. It is quite literally just outside KMSP airport. I believe there used to be regular Japanes…

Well, technically it is the last half mile or so, but possibly not what you were expecting! Airfield in the background . . . And we're going in low! Let's sneak through here Hmm, might have to climb over that fence And here we are in the sky (in case you felt a bit too grounded)

Hehe...I know you older guys were coming in this post looking for KIT. 🙂 Or David maybe? LOL Riding in the back of an empty Caravan (except the crew up front of course)...heading to Key West at night. I had to over-expose the pic so you guys could even see it here....but in the sim...it's dark and perfectly illuminated....taking my breath away! Here is a shot of up front, descending into Key West on the RNAV09. Finally getting more familiar with the G1000 and MSFS's idiosyncrasies, and can manage an approach without the terror I've experienced in the past, LOL. Again..the screenshot does no justice to the atmospheric feeling of night flying in …

This is the addendum to my earlier post on Eastern Airlines B727-100. Per comments exchanged therein, please find 6 images, here, of LAB Airline (Lloyd Aéreo Boliviano S.A.M.), the (former) flag carrier and principal airline of Bolivia, for the period, from 1925 until it ceased operations in 2010. It was the second oldest airline in South America after Avianca and one of the oldest airlines in the world. If still operational, it would have been 95 years old today....! The (below) screenshots are taken at SLLP, El Alto International Airport (default scenery). At 13,323′ Elevation, it's one of highest elevation commercial Airports in the world. And, even in this v…

Not wanting to photobomb @DJJose's excellent series of shots of LAX with the AA 787....I saw one of his shots that triggered in my brain that I have a good series of LAX and Duarte I need to post.... When I saw the aquaduct in one of his shots (quite the landmark in LA), I remebered I specifically took a pic of the same thing....but 1st, let's tell a story... MY wife was working at City of Hope hospital in Duarte, Ca (think Pasdina'ish if you're not familiar...just up the 210) for a while and I visited her frequently. The mountains near Duarte are spectacular, and the general area is very nice. When MSFS came out...I flew there.. and while the scenery we g…

I'm flying a quick flight to check out the hills about 100 miles west of Washington DC. W99- 2G4. I realize the shots are somewhat lackluster but I wanted to show off another area where you might enjoy flying. There are some weird terrain spikes and water elevation issues however. I also got a slick paint job for the VL3 - and someone ran with my 914 mod and made a 915 (though it's got some issues haha). You can read about the mod and paint here: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/vl3-which-engine-is-modeled-making-a-mod/239670/28 Untitled by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Untitled1 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Untitled2 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr…

Made this shot a bit bigger than my usual scaled down 1800 pixel ones because it just looked so cool. What I can't show you in a screenshot is how the shadow on the bottom part of the mountains slowly crept down as the sun rose behind me...where the mountains on that side were casting those shadows. I turned the sim rate to 8x....much easier to see that way. 🙂 Then as I'm sitting here typing this up and getting the pics ready...my Caravan is shut down so in the background I hear nature noises and ground vehicles moving around. Suddenly I hear what sounds like a Southwest 737 flying over my house. In the real world I live right under the approach p…

Having fixed the Spitfire, I’m now ready to try out Dover. The closest airport, I believe, is Manston, but I decide to take off from Southend to have more time to enjoy flying the Spitfire and listening to the Merlin sound. Passing over Ramsgate Here is the Manston airport Over Deal and Middle Deal Dover is dead ahead But where are the cliffs? Ok, the other side of Dover looks a bit better Thanks for viewing

I'd earlier posted a set of images of A2A's Albatros D.III. Since, I'd not looked into my A2A aircraft, in a very long while, I decided to do so to find another interesting (A2A) plane to fly, and the WoP2 B-17G Flying Fortress, caught my attention, not having flown it in nearly a year. And, it's always fun to look for what our (esteemed) repainters have come up with since one last flew a plane....and, for this B-17G, I picked up a new (fantasy) livery, "Inter Island Air". The creator of the repaint, has stated the following, in the README: "In the early 50's Inter Island Air was having trouble with air pirates forcing their cargo C-47 planes down using surplus …
