The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

This is the continuation post (from EGKA/Shoreham) of my (virtual) explorations into two rustic but delectable UK airport sceneries. This airport, (EGCW), located 2 nm south of Welshpool, Powys, Wales, just as Shoreham, is also popular for flying instruction and pleasure flights. Here, I've combined, in this post, sample screenshots of lifting off, from EGCW Runway (barely made it off...🙂...), in Carenado's EMB-505 Phenom 300, while getting sights of the beautiful (rolling) vista nearby... So, please find, below, a collection of local images, in and around this picturesque (small-town) airport...and, in addition, a set of ("eye-candy"(?) but still fun) screenshots of…

Just a couple over Atlanta GA. Not a huge fan of photogrammetry but at this sort of height (I'm not often up here) it does look good. And I don't go up in these often, but every now and again . . . And all this is default - incredible really.

A handful of screenshots from my latest flight in the PMDG Boeing 737-600 (EGPK Prestwick to EGCC Manchester). On the move at Prestwick, with a Royal Air Force Airbus A400M parked at the main apron, and the Firth of Clyde and Isle of Arran in the background. In order of distance from my plane.....Loch Bradan, Loch Finlas, and Loch Doon (south east of Ayr) reflecting the morning sunlight. Helvellyn (third highest mountain peak in the Lake District National Park), with Ullswater in the background. Turning at the Pole Hill VOR, with a scattering of wind turbines below. On final approach to runway 23R at EGCC Manchester. Audenshaw …

Five screenshots that I took during an early morning flight from EGPE Inverness to EGPF Glasgow. I use the 5 metre terrain mesh files included in the Horizon UK VFR Photographic Scenery series, and they make a massive difference to the realism of mountainous terrain in ORBx TrueEarth GB North (the mesh included with the product is 20 metres). The last screenshot is a view of Glasgow as I make my final approach to runway 23. I promise to take some screenshots in broad daylight for my next post!!

Enjoying the latest ASP3D release! Not sure why people dislike these clouds, I love them. Climbing above the OVC layer on departure from AMS Arrival into VLC. Note: I changed the MCP to Collins midflight 😄 Thanks for viewing!

I caught this file, today, at the top of the Flightsim Library list...interesting aircraft, for its time. It was a plane of the 1950s/1960s, called Bristol 188, and was a remarkable prototype of contemporary technology. 10 Curious facts: B-188 was being designed to meet Mach (2.0+) (operational) speed requirements. Its length and slender cross-section led to its being nicknamed the "Flaming Pencil". Serial No. XF926 (shown below) was the second to fly (and also the last). XF926 would make over 51 test flights, however, it could manage a top speed of Mach 1.88. To achieve the required strength, the (fuselage) structure was mostly made o…

Amazing weather yesterday was in Greece. A short trip from Athens to Samos and then to Democritus. LGAV-LGSM-LGAL. In Athens, there was good visibility, but immediately after takeoff, I found myself in a haze. After climbing, the sky was calm. The terrible thing began when approaching the Samos. The Tower allowed RW 27. I fell out of the clouds and saw land in the distance. Visual approach. Rested, refueled, ready for departure. Night falls. Departure from Samos in total darkness. Course for Democritus. Approach permitted, RW07. Navigation - only VOR/DME. Turn the right cir…

Haha I made up a new game. Download Normandy VFR by Jgodagno it has around 100 objects spread across Normandy, France. They are not easy to find it's like an easter egg hunt. Their are 74 churches in small villages. Try to find them. I took off from Caen and found 3 rather quickly.

is Hungary VFR by ekre. If you don't have it check it out. It even has a zoo with Giraffes and Elephants. The amount of work that went into the scenery must have been significant. My second favorite scenery is Kyiv.
