The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

BB-63....now that is a ship! Seen in a unique perspective only aviation can do. 🙂

This is really impressive, but I would pay serious money for a 3d modelled version of this so that I can get up nice and close. But keep your distance and this is amazing.

  7. What do you think of an airplane, 42 years and 2 months old, that, since born in 1978, (so old, the word "internet" didn't exist then...), has been continuously operated in grueling (takeoff/touchdown- intensive) regional transport...? Well..."tough" and "workhorse" come to mind...! And, also, how about "beat up", but "durable" and "dependable"...? That aircraft was a DC-9-51, registered N773NC. This venerable DC-9, on January 6, 2014, operated the final flight on behalf of all its DC9 brethren, with Delta Air Lines, from Minneapolis (KMSP) to the airline’s home base of Atlanta (KATL). That event marked the last commercial passenger flight for a DC-9 aircraft. But, here i…

Continuing to explore the world out there. This sim is doing wonders for my geography. I've had Roman's GTA freeware for a while, and been well impressed with it, and have just got his two payware Toronto airports. So having realised how close Toronto is to Niagara I thought I'd start at KIAG and check out the revised falls, and then head off around the shores of Lake Ontario and see what it all looked like. I left photogrammetry on, and all 4k and ultra settings. I am having so much fun with this sim. I sympathise with the tubeliner folk and their problems with the sim, but for me, this really is a revelation. As long as I can get …

Took off outta Opa Locka, doing my best Steveo TBM impression....wasn't really in the mood to grab the departure as it was all dark...but upon descending into Key West...I looked over my left shoulder and started snapping pics. 🙂 Desending down, the Keys just off my left and a stunning sunrise to boot! Airport coming into sight Turning base Almost lined up...the AP bug that is making the last 10 degrees of turn take forever almost guarantees the AP will overshoot turns. 😞 On final...can't say there are not too many better looking approaches...into the sunrise that is not up enough to blind you yet.🤣 Just about there...love the water ref…

Hi gents.yes I know that avsim is about flying and not about sailing the high seas. But this was too good not to show you. No worries, my next post will be about flying again. After having installed the freeware Henrik Nielsen AI ship scenery in MSFS, I wanted to see how single ships would convert. Some work, many don’t. This awesome freeware FSX battleship Scharnhorst by Klaus Novak ported over successfully. So, here we are leaving Hamburg for the North Sea. It’s December, so as soon as we reached open water, the weather started to deteriorate And as we were close to the island…

  13. @Ron Attwood invited me to a group flight with the RTW team with a lot of folks including @Bert Pieke and others I can't recall without more coffee this morning (sorry guys...old age you know 🙂 ) Anyway...there was a gaggle of us tooling around in the San Juan islands with the great scenery mod for it. Don't have too many pics as the landings were quite challenging, but we had a boat-load of fun...and hilarity abounded as you can imagine. The black dotted line shows you the crazy path my plane flew during this saga. 🙂 I could almost hear The Flight of the Valkyries playing in my head when I saw all the winged warriors all heading out on the quest to s…

A great shot of the morning walkaround before a flight out of Catalina...with my flashlight in hand! One thing I REALLY like about the Mooney...and maybe all CA aircraft, that I'm sure is a bug (that I hope they dont fix!!!)...you can move outside the cockpit in cockpit view...which...like in no other airplane, allows you to do a virtual walkaround WITH YOUR FLASHLIGHT! 🙂 Pretty handy at night or when the sun is just coming up. 😉 I hope they never fix this "bug".
