The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

This is bit of an ambitious exercise/post, I've been thinking about, for a while, and planning to do it during these holidays. As you will see, I've got started, here, in this post, but, much is still left, so, later, I will share a few more images, in Part II (if my SIM survives the ordeal). Below are the drivers that led me to this post. First, we know, during the Pandemic, passenger transport by planes have slackened considerably, but, the freighter aircraft have been surely playing a busy role, carrying vital (life-sustaining) supplies across the domestic and international skies. In fact, cargo shipments have often replaced passengers for many financially chall…

Getting ready to leave a wet SOCA behind. If you've got 'em, smoke 'em! Climbout after scaring the local wildlife. Leaving the South American continent and heading for Africa. Faster than a speeding bullet.. Despite the impressive rate of knots, we'd need to be travelling far, far faster to attain escape velocity and head for the Moon. (This was shortly before top of supersonic descent and deceleration. Subsonic, and descending from FL300. African coastline (Liberia and Côte d'Ivoire - Ivory Coast) Turning inbound to the DIAP VOR on a radial to intercept …

While test flying my C208B's GPS2020 addition around KOTH I spotted the familiar yellow arches and flew down for a closer look. Besides the spot of the arches I achived a milestone on the C208B, the GPS is replaced with the GPS2020 version from the AVSIM library and I managed to remove the default GPS 3D knobs while leaving the remaining functional 3D knobs intact, plus completed the final sounds for my sound gauge addition so that the cockpit has sounds for each item. Cheers R

Looking for my highschool yearbook in the attic I came across some boxes with faded old photographs. Interested, I took a closer look. Obviously someone in my family with an interest in aircraft had been to Berlin Tempelhof. Tempelhof (EDBB) was one of four airports serving Berlin. The others were Gatow, Schoenefeld and Tegel. Here we see ship G-AOHV, a BEA Viscount 814, powered by four Rolls-Royce Dart 510 Turboprops with 1600 hp each.

I picked up a few items on sale at the marketplace today. Originally I vowed to not buy from the store due to the non editability of files but also because I had some issues in the past. I have since started using Addon Linker, so disabling all addons temporarily to make purchases has seemed to enable me access the marketplace and content now. One of the addons, is one I highly recommend: C16 Frasca Field. It's got two runways, 9/27 (concrete 4000 ft lighted) and 18/36 (turf 3600ish ft). It also has an instrument approach to the field... it's just NE of KCMI Champaign. CMI is about 100 mi south of Chicago O'Hare... so the field is ideal for a nice GA hop from C…

Got a copy of this in the UK2000 sale. Sticks out in the landscaspe a little but I quite like it. Headquarters of Easyjet, I believe This is the sort of weather I always associate with Luton! *if you're not sure about this reference, see - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ydVbn0gMk4 or even better - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dldJCeZjcBo

So, taking full advantage of the infinite fuel capacity and the fact that none of this is constrained by reality (my kind of place), I continued on from HTNI across the Morogoro and Pwani regions of Tanzania (thank you, Google Earth) to Dar es Salaam (I misspelt it in the previous post). Everything here is default MSFS, and given how badly Africa has been ignored in previous sims I find this all pretty impressive. I dare say the built up stuff may not be accurate but it's good enough for me. Approaching Dar es Salaam and HTDA Unfortunately, when I came in to land it seems that the brakes seem to have become un-mapped from my pedals, so it wan…

My plan today is to reproduce a flight I make whenever I have to join Las Vegas to Page (AZ), then mostly to fly to Monument Valley but this is another story. I took the C172 analog with the N4975F texture replica of a Plus One Flyer club plane based at San Diego. Las Vegas scenery is from Flytampa. All the rest is stock from MSFS. As usual I connected my Foreflight tablet app to my sim. Looking at the sunset time at Page, my destination, I choose accordingly my departure time. My plan is to reach the lake Powell with hot colors. The route is simple KLAS BLD HooverDam then the Fossil Corridor to go through the free flights zone of Grand Canyon SFRA As …

Spotted this little airstrip on SimMarket, cheap and looked like fun. It is! These are from a couple of setups, so the tod and sky is not totally consistent. Nice little holiday field, with some fun surroundings - Seemed like the right choice to explore in - but you do need to keep an eye on the mirrors. You don't want to wander in to a Jumbo's flight path!
