The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Thanks to @Republic3D for his post - I'd not heard of this place but after seeing his pix I had to go take a look. The place itself is quite something, but also the ground covered on the way there is pretty special as well. I will definitely be spending more time exploring this part of the world. I've never bothered much in P3D/XP as the scenery there is not very good, but what I've seen so far in MSFS has been stunning. I shall keep an eye out for animated sandworms! (but if I see Sting I shall consider that an easter egg too far). So, setting off from GQPA - heading NE (probably about 100 km to Richat) there seem to be a series of escarpments along the ro…

  4. [Note: This week, from the various on-going (SIM) SALEs, I was looking for something new to fly with (and around), and I happened to be eyeing the (LHC) Bellanca Super Viking, and, then, (fortuitously) I ran into a viewing of the (nice and thorough, as usual) review of the same plane in Chock's Hangar...that settled it...🙂......] And, here in our SIMs, pictures of the big (international) airports' are often shared and seen...with large jetliners arriving and departing at such airports (I've had my share of those airports, visiting/transiting as a traveler). But, sometimes, the small (and less-known) airports from around the world can be equally fascinating, especiall…

Got my Metal2Mesh Mirage 2000 ported across well enough to use, even if it sometimes has to be slewed into the air, and then coincidentally found this LFSD airbase package on SimMarket. This apparently used to be the main base for these jets. Ah, synchronicity! So a quick look around the base and then a quick circuit (without the takeoff!) It'll be nice when we can get hold of some fully functional jets like this. I'd love to have the Raptor and the Eurofighter, along with the Hawk trainer, to fly around in on those days when the Savage Cub just won't do it!

Again, based off a real one... but without the wingtip color - and the real one is an Acclaim. Thanks again to @kaosfere and WorkingTitle for their paint chip template! 8. Looking to a few final buys of the year while there are end of year specials going on. And testing RealTurb on Africa (Africa RealTurb is free) on a leadup and overfly of Mt. Kilimanjaro. For this test I had Accu-Feel disabled to garner a general feeling of what to expect. And it's pretty good, RealTurb makes my end of year buy list. Also experimenting with DSR 4K to see how much of the GFX card it draws, over the African plains it's quite flyable with my 1070Ti. (which I would have already replaced if it was possible to buy a current card...next year perhaps). The Carenado C208B HD with Steam Gauges. I've attached a sound to practical…

  9. I've been fascinated by the Richat Structure for a while, also called The Eye of Sahara. It's a massive, 40 km wide volcanic land formation in Mauritania, in the West side of the Sahara desert. It has been known by astronauts for decades because it's so visible from the sky and easy to recognize. Lately it has caught the interest of alternative researchers hypothizing this could be the remains of Atlantis. I have my doubts about that personally, but the structure is extremely interesting and unique regardless. So today I decided to find out how it looked in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. I loaded up my TBM 930 at GQPA Atar Airport and headed out North East …

  11. Need help. I am using GeForce Experience for screenshot capture. When I first began using it the screen captures matched my screen settings in resolution. I run at 2560 x 1440 for my Windows 10 desktop, for FSX SE, and for MSFS. My GeForce Experience settings are also set at 2560 X 1440. Lately however my screen captures from GeForce Experience are all at 3840 x 2160. That results in a 2560 x 1440 capture on a black backdrop of 3840 x 2160, resulting in the need to edit the capture to crop it. Anyone know how to get the captures back to 1440?

Moving files around today and wondered where I'd been this time last year. Turns out I was delivering parcels. As far as I can tell, this looks like leaving from Chicago No idea where I was heading though, and don't recognise this Looks like a UPS hub, but doesn't look like Louieville

  16. [From Orbx's past weekend SALE, I picked up a couple of (pretty) small-town (UK) airport sceneries (EGKA/Shoreham and EGCW/Welshpool), one in England and the other in Wales (I like small airports...🙂...). I am posting my experience with these two airports. This post is the first one. In the 2nd (separate) post, for Welshpool, I've also included images from my first flight with Carenado's EMB505 Phenom 300, an aircraft I had acquired in the past but never flown. So, here, we go, first, with Shoreham...] Shoreham (short for Shoreham-by-Sea) is an Airport I had come to know (in the SIM world) since a long while ago...(I recall, I'd come across it first time via a thorou…

Thought I'd go back and have a look at XP again. Updated my production XP system to 11.50 and had a play. Need to work on the colours a bit - X-Vison doesn't work the same way with Vulkan and I'm a klutz with reshade, but nice to get to use some different aircraft again, and the replay mode is great. Still way below MSFS for me now but I might find myself spending a bit of time here as well. Out of KSJC, round the bay and back. Stayed in the cockpit for the flight and grabbed some shots via replay. First couple were taken via the reshade prtscreen key until I remembered how I had my keys setup for XP! Well, what's a boy to do? …

Hi simmers , Testflight from Kairo HECA to Munich EDDM ( around 4 hours ). All went fine have to say at flightlevel i had some rude winds, but it was pretty awesome to watch the wingflex - therefor Asobo did a real good job IMO. As said no CTD´s and the arrival Airport is Munich from Aerosoft/Sim Wings; guys and this is a stunning fine Airport at my Opinion. Not that cheap but for shure an eyecatcher ! coming in to Munich EDDM.. If anybody is interested to see some shots of Munich Airport itself please report back and i am doeing some.. cheers 😉
