The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

[Note: This is a post about my (this year's) very first (SIM) purchase, the (JF) Hawker Siddeley 748, the purchase been triggered by one recent (and beautiful) picture of the same plane/SIM, posted by another member, here. The plane, however, has been one of my favorites since a long time, thanks to a popular freeware model of it available, since the FS9 days...(many of us might recall the one I'm talking about, from (CBFS) by Rick Piper, who, along with one or two others, had got me initiated into the realm of Classic British Aircraft). Now, for a bit of nostalgia, and a bit of fun, too, I quote, below, three comments, I came across today, from Rick's README, for his (or…

The sound of the radial is quite thunderous! The modeling and paint is exquisite......and quite photogenic! She's in the MSFS Marketplace now.

Another outing in the C-17. Ekaterinburg to St Petersburg. Trying out the winter season, live weather, and using the "AI flys your plane" so I could just watch it go and grab shots as I felt like it. the cloud thickened up as we got nearer ULLI coming down below the cloud level now on approach Unfortunately, the AI seems to have the wrong idea about the airport location. A nice smooth touchdown, but . . . Even I've been known to do better than that!

Another port-over. A bit temperamental, and no cockpit to speak of, but nice to have available. Just tried a late afternoon winter flight (with the seasons mod) out of Mildenhall, swing back round over Lakenheath, then out to the Channel and then south to . . . (if I told you, I'd have to kill you) That's Lakenheath just to the left in this shot Trouble with living in this part of the country - you think you're having a nice quiet evening in, and then this goes over About to add a little excitement to the lives of the residents of Southwold heading low over on of the Channel windfarms, on the way to . . .

My one and only (and not particularly successful, so not repeated) repaint, ported over so I can pose around in MSFS! I always liked the idea of doing repaints/skins, but the couple I looked at drove me mad. I used to do a fair bit of graphics work back when I was writing my course materials, so I'm not a complete virgin with graphics packages, but I had great difficulty getting my head round the templates for the aircraft I looked at. The whole thing seemed almost willfully arcane (but then, it was kicked off by MS I guess . . .) Another one of those areas where I have a great deal of respect for those folk who do successfully put these things ou…

I really rather like this aircraft, I think it's a handsome thing. And then it was time for lunch! Flight saved and I'll possibly come back to that later.

Flying near a small chain of islands in the Bahamas (one of many chains) - and landing at Little Whale Cay (MYBC). Cay is pronounced "key" and was something I learned only within the last few years... The scenery contains a fair bit of airports available here: https://flightsim.to/file/5854/bahamas-scenery-mega-pack Oh, and I've drummed up another livery. It's kinda an inverted version of 8CL. I wish there were less white overall but it's a sporty little red one!
