The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

[While looking at a few images of the Fokker 50, today, I was reminded of its less known, bigger but younger sibling, the Fokker 60.] F27, F50, F70, and F100 series are well-known aircraft developed by the former Dutch company Fokker (the first two were powered by twin-turboprops engines and the latter two by twin-turbofans). It's easy to spot F27 and F50, especially because of their "pointy" noses (that look pretty in their own characteristic ways, and "...oozed retro-coolness...", I read somewhere...🙂...). Anyway, in between F50 and F70 lines, there was another twin-turboprop, F60, that we don't see much around, because, only 4 were ever built, and those 4 all went…

The place is called Msembe and is famous for its abundant wildlife. The plane is the freeware Golden Age Simulations FSX/P3D Boeing Stearman, which I had to port-over to MSFS 🙂 Thanks for viewing

If you do, you certainly know Miles "Tails" Prower (better known as just Tails), the iconic blue blur's all-time bestie & sidekick. It's also no secret that the twin-tailed yellow / orange & white fox is particularly fond of engineering & flying ... Something all of us here are also fond of. I mean, how else can you love ✈ ? Per the biographical info that I could get of him, he loves airplanes too and has several aircraft iterations throughout the franchise's media. Out of this and the lock-downs giving me ample free time ... This idea crossed my mind - With his fondness of airplanes & several 'excursions' to the 'real world' (cue the relatively recen…

Thought that a small flight to test the latest CJ4 mod would be dull over UK heading to Isle of Man... No screens below 10.000ft cause UK weather got me there and EGNS Vatsim ATC was demanding.

Decided to give the early access of Lines Studio's Helicopter Simulator a whirl since it is only 20 quid on Steam. Bit of a faff to get the controls set up, but once you do, it's really pretty cool since the controls actually do replicate the controls of the real thing reasonably well, this means you can actually control the thing properly. I even managed to land it on a luxury yacht on my first attempt:

Vueling at the Biarritz Pays Basque Airport...more Spanish then French Located in Anglet, France extremely close to the Spanish border. Probably should have used easyJet rather then Vueling for the pictorial. Btw, the scenery by Alex is freeware and is located here: https://flightsim.to/file/6189/biarritz-airport-lfbz Darryl

Saw that UPS added the EXPO 2020 logos to N574UP, so I decided to add them to my paint (had to re-reg her from 572 which was my original reg for this paint). 🙂 Taking her from KSDF up to PANC...then probably through Asia and then to Dubai.

Just me shooting an ILS 10R at the airport where I work (KFCM). We're supposed to get a Winter storm today with 4-8 " of snow (which is great because my kids want to go sledding!) Anyway I just really liked the look of the sky and lighting in these. The real weather is a good approximation today (not always though). Dino's MB339 with livery at flightsim.to Nothing edited here either. Our larger runway does actually have a large slope (as visible in my sim shot with approach lighting bars) to it for the first 1000 ft on 10R. I included a real shot from a very murky day (but please note I used a large telephoto so it looks excessively sloped) snowyfcm by…

I've been waiting to see how this Orbx offering turned out. I've found myself less impressed with some of their modelling since MSFS came along and I don't know if it's because of any intrinsic issues with their products or just that MSFS has raised the barriers so much higher. For instance, I used to be pretty much gob-smacked by their London scenery in the True Earth on XP, but looking at it now it feels a bit more Lego-like than I remember. I suspect it is just raised expectations, but on first impressions I feel the same about this Paris add-on. The buildings feel a bit too squeaky clean and stick out of the landscape as more obviously models than some of the backgrou…

We had a bits of discussion and a couple of posts, here, recently, about the BAe ATP. A discussion of BAe would not be complete without a reference to BAe Jetstream 41. It's worth noting, however, the (very different) roots of ATP and JS41, though both aircraft eventually got identified under the "BAe" umbrella. The Jetstream had originated as the final notable design of Handley Page. After the dissolution of Handley Page, in 1970, the Jetstream line lived on, the design being purchased and produced by Scottish Aviation at Prestwick, Scotland. After Scottish Aviation merged into the newly formed (composite) entity, BAe, the Jetstream range (31/32/41) came to be calle…
