The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

[In this post (Part I), I hope, you partake of my (travel) adventure, below, told via text and (SIM) images, or, at least, enjoy the set of images, (after all, who doesn't like a few pictures of the classic and magnificent (Douglas) "BIG EIGHT" quad-jet...🙂...] The motivation for this post (bit of an ambitious one, you'll see) occurred, to me, first, from the fact that I've not flown the (marvelous) Aerosoft DC8, more than a couple of times, in 6-7 months of owning it, and that too, never with a full Cold & Dark start-up procedure. Second, the Earth's Poles are always among the most exotic and fascinating destinations (RW or virtual), the last frontiers, so to s…

Heading to Pittsburgh, looking for snow. Duly found. T45 Snow hadn't reached NY City at departure time. Added a touch of luxury to the G58, installed the bernd1151 burr walnut dash. Available from .to in the G58 livery section. G58 de-iceing works where it matters.

Here´s another lovely piece of freeware for prop lovers. It´s a Nord Aviation Nord 3400 Norbarbe, which can be found on restauravia.com. The Nord 3400 was designed to meet a French Army requirement for a two-seat observation aircraft, with a secondary casualty-evacuation role. The 3400 was a braced high-wing monoplane with a fixed tailwheel landing gear and an enclosed cabin with tandem seating for a pilot and observer. The prototype F-MBTD first flew on 20 January 1958, powered by a 179 kW (240 hp) Potez 4D-30 engine. A second prototype with an increased wing area followed, being powered by a 194 kW (260 hp) Potez 4D.34 engine. A production batch of 150 was ordered …

Saw an airport scenery package for RJOY, and as usual thought I'd go check out the default one first as I've seen more than one occasion where I felt the addon added precisely nothing to the experience. Undecided about the airport itself (the default is a bit bland, certainly) but the surrounding area looked interesting so off I went. Recorded this flight so I'll go back and look at some of the scenery a bit more closely later, and probably have a few more flights around here as well. I had to go and do some RL stuff at that point so I came back later for a longer look round. This is the flight I recorded and I thought I'd go for some moodier weather for th…

The plane is the freeware FSX T 33 by Tim Conrad aka Piglet, which I have ported over to MSFS with the Legacy Importer. I have ported the panel from Dino Cataneo’s freeware Aermacchi MB-326E. Except for the altimeter, most of the gauges work. Thanks for viewing

Nice VFR flight in the 172 G1000 from KMTN near Baltimore. Flight featured an excellent series of six addon bridges that each cross the Delaware River from near Wilmington, Delaware, to just north of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. These bridges were all created by "mngydg" and are available on Flightsim.to. The bridges begin with the Delaware Memorial Bridge on I-95 that crosses the river from Delaware to New Jersey. The bridges continue up the river in sequence: Commodore Barry Bridge (note the Subaru Soccer Stadium adjacent to the bridge); Walt Whitman Bridge; Ben Franklin Bridge; Betsy Ross Bridge; and Talcony-Palmyra Bridge. I have included looks along the way of …

Off of Page, Arizona (KPGA), northeast bound over the expansive Lake Powell, Utah, watershed formed by the Glen Canyon dam project, one of several on the Colorado River. A turn back to the southwest from Glen Canyon dam took me over the Monument Valley National Park from southeast Utah into northeastern Arizona, before heading off to Las Vegas for tonight's scheduled St Louis Blues hockey game against the Vegas Golden Knights. Unfortunately I learned upon arrival that the game had been postponed due to a Covid-19 outbreak among the Golden Knights team. The Monument Valley shots feature the Monument Valley scenery addons created by "jeppeson2001" and available at f…

Had a couple of days trying out the various tools for creating scenery from Google Earth. Following various youtube videos religously and simply finding that things that happen in the videos don't necessarily work the same way on my system. After much cursing I needed a bit of peace and quiet - so what better way than to roll out the Waco for a tour of Vegas in the early(ish) morning light. Heading out from North LV Airport, down the strip and then off to nowhere in particular - magic!
