The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Finally we're starting to see some shots (and finally I can share mine with you!). Really nice night lighting effects in the new MS sim. Love those flickering TV glows in the rooms of houses and the light bouncing off the low clouds on the horizon.

  4. Started by Rogen,

Just a nice casual flight from Pago Pago to Ofu Village on a very rainy day. Take off from PagoPago NSTU - 2 passengers and 60 KG of luggage on a choppy day makes the A2A a very different handling beast compared to one person and smooth clear skys. Alaufau island appears through the mist after some 60KM of flying. Prepping to land, it rained all the way. And on the ground. Parked for the day. If it had have been a real flight airsickness would have overtaken I'd hazzard to guess, so choppy and a challenge to fly. Looking out over the beach. I guess in the next week t…

  7. [Note: While we all wait for the last (3-4) days of the "countdown", at least, a few of us, (probably) continue to "play"...🙂...after all, the reason, we're all so excited about the new SIM, is because, of our regularly (?) needed dose of escapades into the world of (imaginary) aviation fun (speaking especially for the "non-pilot" enthusiasts, around here, me included...)...I realize, though, our normal life (usually) gets in the way,....which, for most of us, does not (did not) involve flying real airplanes. So, here we go, with my most recent (virtual) adventure. Hope you enjoy.] This week, while skimming (and filtering out) the usual flood of news tidbits (about t…

  8. [Note: This post is triggered by a series of (delectable) recent "Scottish" posts around here, and a couple, too, on the "Stagger"...🙂...always have loved this plane, which, of course, is a Classic "American" biplane (first flight 1932...!), from the (remarkable) duo of Walter Herschel Beech and Olive Ann Beech (with due credit to designer Ted Wells), "with the goal to build the finest airplanes in the world". It didn't have a "happy" beginning, though, but, eventually, the model survived the test of time, to become an endearing symbol of its era, with, even today, many in flyable and (FAA) registered condition, along with numerous others on (static) display...] And,…

  15. [Note: While the excitement is building for the most significant (SIM) event to unfold in just a week or so, (especially for us (patient) old-timers...with > (15-20) years of exposure to FS...and, as the years add, the waiting game is getting, a bit, harder to take...🙂..., of course, also, hoping, here, for lots of "fresh-minds", to join in, to bring in (some) un-biassed thinking to this great hobby, and possibly teach us a few new things...per the old-dogs-new-tricks maxim...🙂...we'll see...meanwhile, personally speaking, the "Home" department has been pre-alerted (in a very subtle way)...🙂...oh well...for the "love" of aviation, as we say/justify around here...), thi…

  19. [Note: With recent (excellent) posts on Konakovo Airfield and Antonov Mriya,..I couldn't help but feel in the mood for a bit of "Russian" around here...🙂...so, here we go, with a set of images of an (interesting) Russian twin-jet (Tu-134). Of course, my subject (SIM) aircraft, here, is a Freeware version (and not a "highly-customized" authentic Russian version...🙂...), still, I hope you enjoy these, below, pictures of this (classic) Soviet jetliner.] The Tupolev Tu-134 (NATO reporting name: Crusty (nice nickname...!) is a twin-engined jetliner, similar to the Sud Aviation Caravelle and the later-designed BAC 1-11/Douglas DC-9, and built in the Soviet Union over a per…

  20. Nothing special here, not that my screenshots are anything special (maybe a couple of exceptions occasionally IMO!). I decided to get around to applying the mod to the lovely KCFS Seabee to give it a GPS and radio stack. I just wanted to dust off the cobwebs in some terrain with hills and lakes, and not wanting to wait ages for UK VFR photoreal scenery to load in I went with USA - decent mesh, OK landclass. I think I forgot to lock the tailwheel for takeoff as the Mighty Tadpole wanted to exit stage left of the runway despite a bootfull of right rudder!
