The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

[Note: This post, triggered by member comments on my earlier Qantas post, is one of my most ambitious...🙂...(took me some time, but was good to take the mind off the "current" state of affairs, for a bit), so please bear with me, here. Qantas, as an Airline, has long fascinated my aviation interests. After all, the country/continent of Australia located Down Under is far from the rest of the world. It's...so to speak...in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by three vast oceans (Indian Ocean to the West, Pacific Ocean to the East, and Southern Ocean to the South), and, therefore, its flag carrier, Qantas, for own survival, has to know about "ultra-long" or/and "non-stop" fl…

I went Euro this time haha. This is almost a 100% replica of the real D-ESUB, a German Lancair Legacy. This version is for the amazing Aerobask Legacy RG. Shots are taken in and around Riverside CA (KRAL) and also with payware Orbx TE SoCal I did a custom prop and worked pretty hard on getting it looking decent. All the other paints are with the hartzell prop and chrome spinner. Some WW1 action from Third Wire's First Eagles 2, with my flight of Albatros D.Vs escorting DFW C.Vs on an attack on a Brit airfield. Having seen the C.Vs safely back over the lines after their attack, then mixing it up with SE5as and Camels, eventually managing the 'ace-in-a-day' score of five victories with no losses to my flight of four D.Vs and no losses for the C.Vs either.

Folks, if you wish, please take a shot at a reply, here, (without, first, taking recourse to your "friend", in the internet search-engine,...🙂...)... "What is significant about this particular 747-400 (Jumbo or Queen of the Skies - as you (or the airlines) may, fondly, call it...)...?" And, while at it, hope, you also enjoy these few simple pictures, below, of this iconic aircraft type....(departing Sydney)....!! [BTW, I just happened to find this Qantas livery....(lurking around in my legacy PMDG 747 directory)...]

I took the recently released Xtreme Prototypes Learjet 25 v3.0 on a 1200 nm flight from Tivat Airport in Montenegro to Ambrolauri Airport in Georgia. My route: I've always wanted to visit Georgia, the very picturesque setting of the many towns and villages between the mountains is particularly appealing, as is the food I've heard so much about. On the descent after having passed waypoint TAGAR. The peaks of Alaniya National Park in the background. Ambrolauri Airport (UGAM) in sight, tucked away in a valley right next to the Rioni River. Great weather for a visual approach to RWY 29, the final descent could be tricky…

The Airbus A400M, also known as Atlas, is a remarkable and modern (~10 years since first flight) four-engine turboprop military transport aircraft designed by Airbus Military (now Airbus Defence and Space). It has been advertised with the tagline "transport what the C130 cannot to places that the C17 can't...". So, if you take the average of a C-130 Hercules and a C-17 Globemaster...🙂..., you might end up with an A400...! As a crude comparison, the normal Payload capacities of C-130 and C-17 are approx. 35k lbs and 165k lbs, respectively, and that of the A400M is ~80k lbs. The project was started back in 1982, interestingly, as a joint venture between (French) Aérosp…
