The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

  3. [Note: I wish to admit, first, that I had to finally give in, in this case, not being able to resist the temptation (for this plane) any longer...I'm sure, many of us, here, have gone through similar experiences, in our respective SIMs. My last such delayed acquisition was "AS CRJ", and, here is my latest example of it, the "TFDi B717", a marvelous aircraft (and, mind you, quite unique too, more later...), in its own right! After deferring it for a long time, being, concerned, if it would run properly on my (moderate) FSX/SE system, I finally got prodded to pick it up via Orbx's SALE...And, of course, this turned out to be a fantastic SIM to enjoy, IMHO...] While cre…

  6. [Note: To start off, I must say, this post is one of my most ambitious ever...in terms of flight planning and preparation, and aircraft complexity, and its historical content. In my mind since years, it took me now a couple of full days of toil and, of course, great fun, too, to prepare it...(after all, it's July 4th weekend here, with some extra time in hand)...! Please take your time with this post (hopefully enjoying both the write-up and the images)...!] This post is about the world's oldest Airline and the world's last MD-11 passenger service. KLM is the airline, that has long fascinated me...first of all, because, I was fortunate to have got a chance, a long wh…

I've made a repaint for the Aerobask Legacy RG. I haven't painted since the FSX days with Realair. I'm definitely not a pro but I feel pretty good about this paint (even did a custom partial interior). I'm not sure if it's from a paint kit, but it came from a white livery. I guess I'd say its from scratch. What do you think? It's almost finished but I'd like to find a few more mystery parts and give them a splash of color. I also started another paint which is pretty cool - I've added one shot at the bottom Untitled-1 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Untitled-2 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Untitled-3 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Untitled-5…

  8. Lufthansa will be retiring these big girls this year (I know, I know.. 777F's taking over and I like the T7, but still...) If I could have a civilian simpit with money next to no object, then it'd be an MD-11 flightdeck. The freighters have only had the new livery for a relatively short space of time... Just waiting to get the paperwork out of the way then we can push back and get the air packs going! It's quite warm in Dakar, and still summer in Germany.. Phew! ..as is usual, she usually has no problem achieving a positive rate of climb, even lugging about 60 tons! Going to head up across the north west corner of Africa, then…

Ortho4XP, sourced from Bing, ZL18. As we fly low and slow, I would not go below ZL17 The scenery can be downloaded from here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1LqQZYQTOs6oKVCPO3HC1yaxBHpPJjjOD It comes with a map and a pdf file that explains it and shows you, how to install it (which is easy) This ain’t PNW and also no PNG. This is Africa, Maun in Botswana is the starting point, to be more precise. Flying above the watery wonderland of the Okavango Delta is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but for a lucky few it is a daily adventure. Being a bush pilot out here is never a dull moment. You are either looking out for birds or animals …

  18. Ok, so it's actually an MD82 standing in for a DC-9-32 🙂 The 80's white and red Air Canada DC-9 is one of my favourite aircraft, so much so that I had inibuilds do a fictional repaint of it on the Maddog MD82 so I could fly one of my favourite liveries on one of my favourite P3D aircraft. Boarding pax in YVR: Happened to get lucky and had three different Air Canada liveries in the same shot: I think it's been a while since YVR has seen a trail of T-Tail smoke on departure! Climbing over the Burrard Inlet as we head east. Cruising Descending over the prairies into Edmonton..…

  19. It may not be the absolute do or die deal breaker for a simmer who doesn't use track IR or some such and only uses a single monitor. I pan around with the hat switch and for the majority of my flights I'm not looking over my virtual shoulder (bad airman, naughty airman!). I'll cheat and go to an external view sometimes to get a visual on an airfield, but I do that regardless of plane (plus I like the eye candy) Anyhow - here's the view - front, right and left of the VC at a zoom level which works for me about 0.6 for the Pucara which is a head-out-of the-window aeroplane most of the time.. Any further left or right, and down a bit and the lack of structure can be se…

  22. A smooth flight at 17,500 ft (and then lower later) from Oceano Co, CA (L52) to French Valley, CA (F70). This is one of the most stunning addons for XP11 to date - the Aerobask Legacy RG with user paint of reno racer N913MP. I effortlessly cruise around 250 knots while still being very fuel efficient. I depart L52 SE, towards Vandenberg AFB, then onto Gaviota VOR to the shoreline of Santa Barbara CA. I continue east towards Ventura, pass the Point Mugu NAS and then east towards Malibu and the Pacific Palisades. I fly by LAX, pass downtown LA, starting a slow descent beyond Santa Ana. Finally I'm passing Lake Elsinore, and flying overhead Murrieta where I cross…
