The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

  7. [Note: Today I was looking around a bit on the Just Flight's website, and among their Demos, the Canberra, caught my attention, as something, worth testing (or/and acquiring later), ready to be flown, here, free, in the Registration of XH134 in its (lovely) silver paint scheme - fully featured in the Demo, but, please note, limited to an altitude of only 1,000 feet...] Canberra was a unique aircraft. Here is a short (but, not exhaustive) list of its features and credentials: Developed (just past WW II) by English Electric Company (most would recall their EE Lightning...) during the mid-to-late 1940s, and, designed like the earlier (incomparable, and, until the…

  8. Started by regis9,

I did my first flight in P3Dv5 HF2 with the FSLabs A320. Overall it was my most satisfying P3D flight in some time. Performance is great, the sim was stable, and I really enjoyed the enhanced atmospherics...EA made the approach into Vancouver seem like a typical low cloud approach into Vancouver. Like many, I've had my trials and tribulations with P3Dv5 but I feel like I'm really getting to a happy place with it now. Thanks for looking! Dave

  10. Some of the screenshots are a bit dark (of course!) but a full screen view may help.. Despite the weird issue with winds aloft making the plane uncontrollable at altitude and thus having to spend most of the flight just over 3000 feet, it appears that in the sim anyway - the idea of a Messerschmitt Me-264 Amerika Bomber reaching the USA from the Azores and returning to Lajes AB without refuelling is possible. Good job the Amerika Bomber never got beyond prototypes, and the war ended. I do however suspect that such an aircraft would have had a hard time penetrating any US air defences at that time. Here's my photo recon flight (6000 lbs of cameras loaded into the…

  17. More pics than words in this hopefully brief mini review The Legacy is my all time favorite real aircraft (bias), and thus my favorite sim aircraft (bias). I first participated in the old Realair beta for v1 and v2 of the Legacy in FSX and later P3D (bias). I then participated in this Aerobask Legacy beta in XP11 (bias - so you see lots of bias in this review lol). Plane was released a few days ago avail at Org site. I know there's a few people hesitant to get it because of the glass cockpit...but the Avidyne is very well done, and the text is very legible and smooth. I use the Reality XP GTN 750 in mine, but the default is the Laminar GNS530 (still not a bad un…

[Note: This post (and these few images, below) of the BAe Hawk was triggered by an excellent (independent) screenshot, posted by another member, of the Hawk T1 in the Goshawk livery...] Coincidentally, I was already looking into the Just Flight Demos earlier today, and these pictures, here, are from the (JF Demo - 15 mins per flight) version of Hawk T1/A Advanced Trainer. The shown variation is for "100 Sqn, RAF Leeming, Circa 2014". The takeoff is from (PAJN) Juneau International Airport - Rwy 26. In the 2nd shot, you can spot the famous (13.6 miles long) Mendenhall Glacier, located about 12 miles from the downtown Juneau. Enjoy. [JF(HawkT1/Demo)…

  23. I'm following up, on my earlier JS41 post, here, with a set of repaints of this likeable turboprop. For this post/SIM, I didn't have to go hunting for any additional liveries...I already had quite a number of liveries, since a year or more ago, when I'd last flown it...So, here we go, with a set of (attractive) Airline repaints, chosen randomly, per my (biased?) preference... Please note the extra (16th/last) night-time screenshot, I've added, that does not belong to any Airline, but, is PMDG's House Livery - an acknowledgement to the creators of this SIM. And, regarding scenery, for this post, all these images are taken, in and around (PAJN) Juneau Internation…

  25. Seventy miles southeast of Moscow, lies Kolomna, an ancient city of Russia, situated at the confluence of the Moskva and Oka Rivers. In the same Kolomna district, is located, Severka township, little known, outside of Russia (e.g. Wiki failed me, for any significant details), just 20 miles northwest of Kolomna. This region is one of the oldest and most beautiful in whole of Russia e.g. according to the archaeological surveys, Kolomna was founded in 1140–1160. The city has an extremely rare monument of old Russian architecture – the Assumption Cathedral. If you wish, you may search for "Assumption Cathedral of the Kolomna Kremlin Russia Travel", to enjoy a few (quaint) ima…
