The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Today, I spent some time, looking around for additional repaints for Carenado's Emb-120 Brasilia. One of my objectives was to possibly find any more pure "Metal" liveries, like the SkyWest one, I'd shown, in my post. I was not successful, in this specific regard. However, I discovered other liveries (most from the local AVSIM Library itself). So, please find, below, a (small) collection of (varied and attractive) liveries of this plane. This set includes two samples of the vibrant colors of OceanAir (these were pointed out to me by a member, and are really fun to fly). [Side Note on OceanAir: The airline was established in 1998, in Brazil, as an air taxi company and then …

Hi Folks, Going through my aircraft archive and came across the illustrious MilViz P-38 Red Bull freebee. I'd downloaded it some time in the past when i was running P3D v3 but never got around to installing it before moving on to P3D v4. Of course the aircraft is not officially for P3D v4 but I thought I would give it a go given there is already a Milviz P-38 included in P3D. First hurdle was the installer doesn't give an option to select a path, just radio buttons to select the sim (FSX/FSX-SE and P3Dv2/3), this was overcome by setting a dummy P3D registry key. e.g. [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3] "AppPath"="E:\Loc…

[Note: First of all, it was so "exciting" when, today, I happened to make my casual (but regular) visit (virtually) to the JF Website, and the first (rolling) Advertisement Screenshot, on their main page, (you know the ones with (< >) tabs at each end), that caught me, off guard, was the one for a "NEW MICROSOFT SIMULATOR"...(PRE ORDER, of course...🙂...), nonetheless, in spite of, myself, (at least, generally) being "up" on all the hundreds of pages in the "Other" Forum, seeing this invitation there on the JF's website, today, for the first time, made me realize, this is for real...(how long we have waited)...!! I recalled. also, how, ages ago, I'd picked up a copy …

I'm justifiably proud of this one so there's several screenshots. It took me three restarts of the sim from desktop, dodging OOM dings (taking off from Gatwick rather than Luton helped!), and not flying through the upper metalwork of the bridge. I tried my best to line up as early as I could, then lit the burners whilst trying to manage the pitch up due to the speed increase all the while with single digit frame rates - good job I cut my teeth on ZX Spectrum flightsims! This first one's a bit deceptive - looks as if i hadn't got to the bridge, but all these shots, with the exception of the one at altitude were taken whilst I paused the sim in one place. …

This is a realistic flight from Skagit KBVS to Redding KRDD in the Xtreme Prototypes Lear 25 SE v3.0. I'm still using P3D v4.5 so unfortunately I wasn't able to check it out in v5 with the nicer skies /atmosphere. If you don't like reading lots of words, my recommendation is to buy the plane right away haha....it hand flies beautifully and accepts the Flight1 or Reality XP GTN units in a few different configurations. It's also very powerful and cruises at a respectable .82 mach (MMO). I found no real issues with performance either. Moving on to the mini review.... This is version 3 of the Xtreme Prototypes Lear 25... I've owned all of them, and the changes i…

You may recall, a while ago, I'd submitted a post showcasing the beautiful (and remote) Alaskan airport of Yakutat (PAYA). Here, in this post, I bring it back to SIM with a (virtual) revisit (my only 2nd-time utilization (and enjoyment) of this Orbx airport, which never seems to go out of my mind...🙂...). As part of the post, I also wished to install and then do a quick testing of another aircraft (the Embraer-120 (Brasilia), purchased from one of Carenado's past SALEs, but reminded of it during their most recent SALE...) I've chosen to fly the Emb-120 in the color of SkyWest Airlines, a St. George (Utah) based Regional airline, that has, over the years, built unique…

I thought it prudent to beat up London City airport because... well you would wouldn't you? Then on to complete the mission! Pucara (Fortress) meets bridge.. well doesn't actually meet it as such because that would have been rather messy.. Mind you there is a "crash-test-dummy" sticker near the back of the canopy (the round black & whit symbol similar to the centre of a BMW badge..) which of course is rather fitting because I'm flying her today This is the only Ctrl-Ezy Pucara livery which allows the torpedo to be loaded. Don't worry:- I didn't launch the tin fish at HMS Belfast..

Well here it is on a I7-4770K@4,5 with a GTX1080TI struggling to manage 25HZ with LOD maxed out. No problems with LOD at high settings. I totally forgot how fantastic MCE is in combo with the FSLA320. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/zvixwvq7vo7yk30/AABSXbIM78ybCUgUeb6UGSpNa?dl=0 Thanks Michael Moe

Hope you enjoy these few pictures of the Lexus and the BMW...!! The cars are speeding down KSEA 34R...(Clearance from the Tower has not been sought or/and received...🙂...) [Note: The author/creator notes, "You can reach a top speed of about 115 mph on a level surface at sea level", and suggests, "Have fun, but steer clear of those big rigs on the Interstate"!]

[Note: Today, among the Freeware files, I came across the Sopwith Camel, a (little) biplane (of WW I times) that has somewhat always drawn my attention (I like the wheels on them...🙂...)...Along with S.E.5a, the Sopwith Camel is one of the best-known aircraft of the First World War. (On a lighter note and of added interest: The Sopwith Camel is the "plane" that (Charles Schulz's) Snoopy character is flying, in the Peanuts comic strip, where he imagines himself as a World War I flying ace and the nemesis of the Red Baron...pretending his doghouse to be a Sopwith Camel....🙂...)] Anyway, I snapped a few quick SIM pictures of the Freeware Sopwith Camel's repaint variatio…
