The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Featuring the Cuillin Mountains - rated from 'walk' to 'moderate rock climb' in climber talk. Looking down on Loch na Creitheach (Lake of prey), the little dot is the DGA15 following its shadow into the mountains. The 'Black' Cuillins which can be traversed in a day - not by me 😀.

[Note: For my previous post, as I was exploring the 3 types of B777 engines (GE, PW, RR) that made B777 a popular best-seller among the (long-haul) airline operators, and made it the success it became...., I came across the remarkable incidence of United Airlines flight 328. The (scheduled and routine) flight from KDEN to PHNL, that would have normally taken appx. 7 hours, covering appx. 3,400 miles (see my shot # 2), was cut short due to an in-flight emergency barely minutes into take off. This post, btw, is not a replication of the event, but merely simulates the route (normally) from takeoff to touchdown, and there is not any kind of emergency in my simulated flight, e…

I normally don't do fictionals...but a friend on the beta team lives in New Zealand and really loves this livery. They did fly the 2/3/400s but never the -700. In flightsim, she can be a -700! I think she looks rather dashing in this livery. 🙂

For the last 3-4 days, I've been "binge-watching" everything DC-3. I came across a Youtube video on Mikey McBryan's restoration of C-FDTD on Plane Savers...it was cool to watch the restoration and initial flight (after a long sleep!) in such a relatively short time period. I then reviewed the trans-Atlantic crossing of Tabitha May for the 2019 anniversary of D-Day (Matt Guthmiller did a series of videos for each leg of the journey). Of course, I had to take my trusty Manfred Jahn C-47 for a few flights! I came across an article that I had read once a long time ago...seems to have dropped off my memory since I read this. In Whitehorse, there is a "Wind …
