The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

  5. I really love flying the Lancair Legacy, it's fast, reliable (but with consequenses for mistreatment), supports hypoxia and the GTN750, plus has a great set of sounds and functions. Here's a selection flying through the desert regions of the USA. Cheers

  6. This is what Wikipedia has to say about it: The Corinth Canal is a man-made canal in Greece, that connects the Gulf of Corinth in the Ionian Sea with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea. It cuts through the narrow Isthmus of Corinth and separates the Peloponnese from the Greek mainland, arguably making the peninsula an island. The canal was dug through the isthmus at sea level and has no locks. It is 6.4 kilometres (4 mi) in length and only 21.4 metres (70 ft) wide at its base, making it impassable for many modern ships. It is currently of little economic importance becoming mainly a tourist attraction. The canal was initially proposed in classical times and a …

The Grand Prix was held over the weekend, not that I had opportunity to go, but it seemed like a nice time to gather a few Melbourne pics together. Melb Airport YMML - All those planes just awaiting a chance to get back in the air... A couple flying in from the East in a Cabri G2 Heli, didn't manage very far, need much more practice flying a Helicopter. The MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground) is the stadium with the lights.

Departing in the murk, and landing the murk.... not the best day for flying, but very doable in the well equipped FSW C414. I did hit ice while climbing out but the boots took care of it. I planned for 15,000 ft but there was a layer there which included a very massive crosswind and turbulence...so I elected for 13000. 13. [A short while ago, I'd gone on a "freighter" purchase spree...🙂...and had acquired the (incremental) freighter model upgrades for several CS a/c (727/737/757/767/777/L1011...etc. plus the (JF) 146-300QT freighter of my earlier post...). Here, below, is a set of pictures for the (CS) 777F, that I had not got to fly till today...] Large freighter a/c are always fascinating in their own right...and for cargo operators, the 777F has been (consistently) at the top of the list of favorite freighters. All (Boeing built i.e., not converted via BCF program) 777 Freighters (designated as just "777F") share (common) features with the (Pax) 777-200LR variant, including the Gene…

  20. [Note: This post is triggered by the (recent) sighting, here, of a set of beautiful pictures of the Ryan ST-A.] In the SIM, the "Ryan" a/c name, for me, goes back to the earliest FS9 days...some of us might recall the most famous of the Ryan a/c, the NYP "Spirit of St. Louis", which was included in the default FS9 a/c set. This hitherto unknown plane (see the first shot below), and its pilot, Charles Lindbergh, on May 20–21 (1927), would together become a household name across the world, as the first to fly nonstop from New York to Paris. The "Spirit of St. Louis" was loosely based on the company's 1926 Ryan M-2 mail plane, the main difference being the NYP's …
