The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

DISCLAIMER: The NDA for the Leonardo MD80 has been partially lifted for the beta testers to start showing screens and videos. The following screens represent the latest beta build, but not necessarily the final release build. I am not allowed to answer any detailed questions about features/functions other than what Leonardo has officially released thus far. Please just enjoy the pics 🙂 Did a hop from KMIA to Atlanta...ILS into KATL, pretty bad weather, and I don't know how to fly her proficiently, but managed to get her down thru the clouds thanks to the ILS system. 🙂 Nice weather outta' Miami Cruise ships below, Miami skyline quickly sliding behi…

[Note: Today, in the library, I came across the repaint of a B727-200 in the (original) 727-100 prototype color. The prototype was painted lemon yellow and copper-brown, similar to the paint scheme of the Model 367-80 prototype (for the 707), eight years earlier. In this post, I wished to share a few pictures of the "actual" B727-100 prototype (N7001U) ...so, here we go...with bits of (optional) reading notes, below...] Airplanes (somewhat) like human lives, go through the up and downs of fortune and misfortune...and eventually end their useful span of contributions...to their airlines, owners, and customers. As I'd indicated in my post on the B757 freighters, many s…

Piper Company, in the 1960s, buoyed and boldened by the resounding success of its (many) PA-20 series a/c, embarked next on the ambitious PA-31 series of popular twins that include 4 (major) variants as follows (At the request of company founder William T. Piper, Piper began development of a six- to eight-seat twin-engined corporate and commuter transport aircraft under the project name Inca...Mr. Piper's answer to the ubiquitous Cessna 400 series twins...): PA-31 Navajo (1967) PA-31 Chieftain (1973) PA-31T Cheyenne (1974) [Note the "T" for "Turbo", and, also, to be distinguished, here, from the PA-42 Cheyenne which is a later and larger development of t…

Great time in Cancun. Weather was perfect. Not too crowded this time. Most Covid restrictions lifted. Now off to Grand Cayman, which will be our "launch pad" for several of the next trek adventures. A look from the ramp at the addon MMUN Cancun International by Hold Short Simulations. It is available at TO. And another look just after rotation. Flying south along the coast looking back at Cancun and the splendorous Nichupte Lagoon that separates hotel row from the city. Over the Yucatan Caribbean coast nearing the island of Cozumel. Aeropuerto Internacional de Cozumel (CMZM) airport in view on the right and the small island…

In our SIM, the freighter versions of airliners are always interesting and appealing...in their own right... During one of my earlier posts, I had done bits of deep-dive into the unique MD-10 (freighter conversion). The MD-10 upgrade, initiated by FedEx, and undertaken by Boeing itself, was essentially a (pax) DC-10, converted to Freighter and equipped with advanced Glass cockpit similar to that of the MD-11. It's interesting to note that though the MD-10 was primarily derived from Douglas DC-10 (fuselage) and MD-11 (avionics), the program was labeled a "BCF" (Standing for "Boeing Converted Freighter"), Boeing having acquired its longtime rival, McDonnell Douglas, in…
