While the RAAF utilized the older sibling (Mariner) of the Marlin, I was a little bored and knocked up a Mariner scheme for the Marlin. I'm going to make up some sinking ships and lifeboat/raft of Northern Australian where the flying boats operated and upload both paint and scenery

Freeware files are always fascinating...because, so to speak, there is something noble in their creation. In our SIM world, since the earliest days of my involvement, I've never failed to wonder why someone (or some folks together) would create something regularly (and painstakingly), for us to enjoy...without any seeming benefit to them, except for their own passion for the hobby...and a desire to share it with others. There is nothing more gratifying to me in a README than the often found note, "Thanks for downloading...Hope you enjoy..."...I did find a couple of such notes today...So, it's always a pleasure to see such output...around here...no matter what SIM...Plus, …

Hi all It's been a long time since I've not posted here. Recently, I found my sim sweet routine, based on the fantastic FBW A32NX, and the AIG Traffic (was a bit long to install and setup but impressive overall). I take here the opportunity to share my last flight between Toronto Pearson CYYZ and Miami KMIA.

Tuning for my new GFX card and I can still max it out 🙂 I'm sure the promised next gen will be 2x to 3x even better... That said it does take a bit more effort to do so than my older card - a 1070Ti. Pic shows 4361 mem use, but have taken it up to ~10000 and it's oh so easy to get to 100% GPU use, I am enjoying it. [Note: While I wished, today, to look up a bit about the Convair series a/c, I also thought of the pistons vs. turboprops...here are some notes plus a few more Convair pictures....] One of the things that's interesting in aviation is the evolution of the propliner engines...from the pistons...to the turboprops. Flying the EMB 110 from RJFU to RJTT with a heavy tailwind provides a nice bonus: Bonus comes at the price of some turbulence giving the AP fits:
