The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Here's a comparison of screenshots and photos I took on two flights a few weeks ago. I apologise for the poor quality of some of the photos, especially those taken at night (they are from a video). I would say it looks pretty good.

Today I was actually working for Gisborne District Council performing a little software application development, nothing dramatic, just a service to download docs from a cloud EDRMS, then OCR and reupload as a new version for search indexing. Bread and butter stuff paying the bills. After work I thought a flight out of Gisborne AP would be nice and also spent some time tuning cloud shader math more to my asthetics. End result... I'm happy 😁 Cheers

A pleasure flight out of Orlampa (Fantasy of Flight FA08), FL - between Orlando and Tampa Bay I've got a sweet ride in @Ron Attwood's rendition of N147GC - An incredibly painted RV14 - this sim version is from SWS. https://flightsim.to/file/32314/van-s-rv14-n147gc I also fly over Jack Brown's Seaplane Base - an incredibly popular place to pickup your seaplane rating. Maybe I should strap some floats to this RV! Please enjoy and thanks to Ron for this stunning paint. For W28 (airport) scenery, Orbx begins the description as, "Sequim Valley is a small airfield on the northern Olympic Peninsula...in the foothills of the spectacular Olympic Mountains...and is considered to be a pilot's dream...." Now, surely, some of us...would remember that PNW was Orbx's very first (debut) regional scenery for North America...It was around 2010/2011, I believe...hard to imagine but a decade has already (and seemingly quickly) passed since then...Of course, Orbx has steadily added many small (custom) airports and airfields to the PNW region over the years. Here's a little gem that I've had for quite some time, but never got to explore in much detail... …

[Note: This post is triggered by another recent post, with a set of beautiful pictures from Northern Spain, specifically the region between San Sebastián and Bilbao...] In this post, I travel (westward) starting from Barcelona past San Sebastián and Bilbao, exploring the beautiful mountain ranges of Northern Spain. BTW, Spain also has spectacular mountains, in its other parts, such as Central and Southern Spain (see e.g., pictures of Mount Mulhacén below). The highest mountain in mainland Spain is Mulhacén, which is located in the Southern edge of Spain, and Mount Teide, the volcano, on Tenerife, in the Canary Islands, is the tallest mountain in all of Spain. I…
