The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

  3. Aeroplane Heaven's bonus model of the 'Phoenix', which is built from the wreckage of the C-82 Packet forced down in the Sahara Desert en route to Benghazi, in the 1965 movie The Flight of the Phoenix. This is AH's first stab at adding PBR textures to a released model and they've done a nice job of it. The Phoenix model in the flight sim actually has a working Coffman starter, complete with a limited supply of cartridges, so you can see if you could get it going like in the climactic scene toward the end of the movie...

Teti’aroa is an atoll that was once a vacation spot for Tahitian royalty. Located just 53 km (33 mi) north of Tahiti, hardly anyone knew of its existence. That changed, when Marlon Brando discovered it, after shooting “The Mutiny on the Bounty”. He bought it in 1966 and built a small village on one of the motus, so he could stay there with his family. Today the island is home to a gorgeous luxury eco-hotel (The Brando Resort). Eight of Brando’s eleven children are involved in the resort project. A local has offered us some fish for our upcoming trip Tahiti can be seen on the left, Moorea on the right side …

Alexei S Khlobystov's Tomahawk is a great plane from the A2A stable, very challanging to fly and quite difficult to keep straight on take off. Also requires absolute gauge scanning as the engine is easy to kill if not careful, as my pics series shows the results of. Last night I was practicing flying between the islands of American Samoa's Ofu and Ta'u. Wasn't properly scanning the gauges and (due to being not that familiar with the aircraft) and ran into problems. Made it onto the runway @ FAQ although not without a fair amount of damage. And besides what is shown in the pic, an engine check showed the main bearings were als…
