The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

So this weekend I thought I would spend a bit of time with the Carenado PC12. I've had it installed for a while and flown it a few times but haven't investigated for any fixes it might have needed (because practically every Carenado aircraft needs a few fixes - luckily the files are not encrypted in these releases). Well, I spent Saturday morning reviewing and so far I'm up to 14 fixes, with still a few more to go. First was a PBR exterior model fix, because the PBR mod I'm using came with incorrect radius and bounding box values making the aircraft fully zoomed out in prevew and exterior views. The others were, in the majority, syntax errors in gauges…

We won’t cover the whole island, it’s too big for that, just the area around El Nido, a popular tourist spot. I have been to this beautiful part of the Philippines and it is pretty spot on in MSFS. Thanks for viewing

A somewhat short flight from Turners Falls 0B5 to Elizabeth Field 0B8 (with touch and goes at Goodspeed 42B and Chester Co KSNC). Haven't taken the Mooney in a long time. It's a very capable aircraft - mine is turbocharged for mountain flying - here in the flatland of the East Coast of the USA it's good for carrying more and operating in hot and humid weather. 2300 ft is the longest runway at 0B8 - I took RY 25 for the headwind today and it's quite short at 1800 ft. A little tight for the Mooney but as long as you stay just above stall speed with the power in (till short final) it's easy to stop in time. I had no issues today. I didn't take any photos le…

The new HondaJet for MSFS is quite good. At least it made me put CJ4 and TBM in the hangar. It has some quirks but they are being worked on. The one that annoys me is the tendency to mess up the lateral ILS interception, although i think it comes from Asobo / WT G3000.

SAS (Scandinavian) is a fascinating airline. Recently, I came across a few pictures of the SAS airplanes, rekindling my (long-held) interest in this airline. In particular, I was reminded of an aviation milestone that was set by SAS back in 1954 (significant but probably not so well-known outside of the Scandinavian countries, me being an outsider too...🙂...). Also, while looking a bit into SAS (historical) Fleet, I noticed, there, Douglas DC (-4/-6/-7/-8/-9/-10) and MD (-80/-90), but no MD-11 (nor L-1011). Then, I happened to spot, right, here, in the local Avsim Library, repaints (fictional, of course) of a L-1011 (Tristar) in the colors of both SAS Pax and SAS Cargo. …

In my previous post on SAS, I'd come across (and also alluded to) the little-known American Airline AEA (American Export Airlines). AEA, later on, under the wings of AA (American Airlines), would be renamed as AOA (American Overseas Airlines) which, operating out of Manhattan, New York City, existed for just 5 years, between 1945 and 1950, but cast its famous mark as the first ever airline to achieve (scheduled and commercial) landplane-based transatlantic crossing. Prior to that, the (commercial) transatlantic crossings were accomplished by means of seaplanes. AEA was founded in 1937, as a wholly owned subsidiary of the (parent) shipping company American Export Lines. In…

Cruising up the valley from Paso Robles KPRB this beautiful vista with Live Weather was waiting at Watsonville KWVI. Later it turned out that I had the fuel computer programmed incorrectly and almost ran out of fuel... had to go for an emergency landing at Mineta San Jose KSJC.

Before you question my sanity, let me explain to you 😊 This UAL 747SP has carried me multiple times in comfort across the Pacific, in both directions, with a stop-over in either Narita or Seoul. So, although she is not the prettiest 747, she has a special place in my heart. How to get this bird into MSFS? It’s a bit tricky, because the only SP I know, is the old FS9 Posky model. This meant that I had to convert her first to FSX, before I could port her over to MSFS. Of course, I couldn’t use her panel, so I had to use the one of the default MSFS 747. That’s the downside. …
