The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

  5. In my previous post, I'd successfully completed the "RNAV (GPS) RWY 12" approach (although with a few harrowing final moments...🙂...) ...in ill-advised and artificially injected adverse-weather conditions. On the Final, the bulky and heavy Grand Caravan C208B had never felt so cumbersome... (BTW, here is a 3m:16s video of a (RW) IFR approach to KHAF Rwy 12, if you wish to view, please search for "IFR Approach to Half Moon Bay (KHAF)". I read there in the Intoduction, "Flying as safety pilot for a friend of mine while he keeps his IFR skills current by shooting some IFR approaches. This was our second attempt at the GPS Z approach to Runway 12, after we went missed on the …

  20. In my previous post, I'd shown a set of pictures from around (KHAF) Half Moon Bay Airport, in Northern California. The Orbx documentation, for this scenery add-on, (thoughtfully) includes IAP Charts for both "RNAV(GPS)RWY12" and "RNAV(GPS)RWY30" Approaches into this airport, with a tempting suggestion, "...the spectacular coastline around the airport makes for a truly amazing approach and when you land, you’ll surely have a great meal waiting for you at the Three-Zero café...so, you may want to brush up on your IFR skills, as the airport is clouded by low lying fog for many days of the season, making the approach a little trickier...!" "Trickier" was, to be honest, a…

  24. While looking through the Orbx SALE for a new (fun) airport, I picked up KHAF (Half Moon Bay) for my Northern California (NCA) region. KHAF is a small but picturesque (coastal city) airport about 25 miles south of San Francisco across from the San Francisco Bay. It's called "Half Moon Bay" because of its crescent shape (see aerial pictures below). Next, a short while ago, I'd purchased, together, the (Milviz) Bobcat and (Milviz) Otter, and recall posting, here, about the Bobcat, but I hadn't got to explore the Otter till today. I'm thinking, maybe, I should have first got the Milviz "DHC-3 Otter" instead of the "DHC-3T Turbo Otter" (note the "T" in "3T")...the reasoning b…
