The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

(larger image if clicked) So spotting a CB in MSFS has been a rarity. Actually, I do not believe I have ever spotted an isolated CB (cumulonimbus cloud or thunderhead). So this is looking east from KDEN this afternoon. MSFS SU9. The Hjet G3000 wx radar did show some showers in the area, but this appears to rise from the earth. Any reports of nuclear tests this afternoon in Colorado?

(This bit of memory about the A340-600 is triggered from my previous post of flight with A340-300). First of all, here is a most remarkable (modern) aircraft, 4-engined too, that we don't talk (or mention) much about, here, primarily because there is limited availability of this a/c SIM from the payware developers (there have been a few, though), and in the pecking order of popularity of Airbus a/c for our SIMs, this is the one that's most likely to be bypassed (or overflown so-to-speak...🙂...) ...This is because, once we're past the A320/A321/A319/A318 series, there are the A330s, noting that, the A320/A330 come in both ceo/neo variants, then there are, of course, the mo…

I don't know what happened... one second she was there, and the next... I should have been easier on her. Now I have to handle the radio calls into Auckland Intl myself... Gloomy weather today at NZAA. Bit tricky getting in with winds at 18 knots. Flying taildraggers is not my speciality.

[While exploring a bit, recent news about Airbus, for my previous post on Airbus Freighters, I came across an interesting story...so, here we go... (MSFS flyers, please see note at the end of my text, below...) ...] We're aware and have seen pictures of the (specially equipped) C-130 Hercules or the (versatile and STOL capable) DHC-6 Twin Otter landing on the ice field Runways of Antarctica. However, even though (commercial) jet planes have often been deployed on sightseeing excursions over and around the Cold Continent, landing of such jet planes there is a rather rare event. On the record, a few (commercial) jet-planes e.g., B757s/B767s have, indeed, landed in Anta…

Usually, when I fly in Norway, I choose the area around the Lofoten with its dramatic mountains and peaks. This time I went further north to a small town called Stokmarknes. Another beautiful area to enjoy flying around, I have to say. Thanks for viewing

I purchased this L39 single from the MP today (had a bit of hassle doing it as I'm not a fan of the MP - but it did go through finally). For 7.50 USD (plus maybe a bit of vat or tax) it's honestly a decent addon. It's not a PMDG jet or an A2A GA but it has a lot of character. The flight model is decent, I felt like I was flying a jet. The visibility from the canopy is excellent. I also chose this for the avionics.... knowing that once WT releases their GNS refresh this plane will get even better. I already owned the 'Red Thunder' L39, with glass G3X and GNS. I still like that one but the G3X is not great...and this L39 has beautiful analogue HSI and VOR. It's a…

FS2020 has taken learning more about our world to a new level. There are parts of the world that I always thought would be rather "dreary" or barren, but I've been proven wrong. I've a new appreciation for: Iran: Into OIAA (Abadan) Into OINR (Ramsar), on the coast of the Caspian Sea I had always thought of Iran as basically a desert county... Turkey: Into LTCA (Elazig) This is actually an inland lake and mountainous area north of the Mediterranean. The entire southern Turkish coastline with the Med is strikingly beautiful. Reunion Island (East of Madagascar and west of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean) There wa…

Here's an illustrated summary of my general aviation world tour that I completed yesterday. My overall impression after travelling 24,082 nautical miles (44,600km) is that there is beauty everywhere. From the natural beauty of Iceland: ...to the busy streets of Chicago: From the snow-covered wilderness of Greenland: ...to the lush beaches of the Amami Islands [Japan]: I flew over majestic peaks: [Mount Fuji, Japan] [Mount Kinabalu, Borneo, Malaysia] [Mount Rainier, USA] ...and saw impressive man-made structures: [San Fransisco] [The Great Seto Bridge, …

I've always enjoyed learning more about our world via flight simulation. FS2020 has taken that to a new level. There are parts of the world that I always considered would be rather "dreary" or barren, but I've been proven wrong.
