The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Icing, I was amazed to see icing on a flight from KDAC to KBOS. I didn't even know the sim would do this. And this one, a flight from Monterey California to KLAX. It was so serene and beautiful. Thank goodness I got the 13 second pause every 60 seconds solved and kudos and thanks to @Cpt_Piett

F-104 by SimSkunk Works I take off from Doha Intern. The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is located in Abu Dhabi and was constructed between 1994 and 2007. The building complex measures approximately 290 by 420 m (950 by 1,380 ft), covering an area of more than 12 hectares (30 acres) The Abu Dhabi Intern. airport One of the most expensive hotels in the Middle East: Atlantis the Palm, Dubai The never completed “The World Islands Complex” of Dubai. At least the developer of this MSFS add-on certainly did not lack creative imagination 😉😉 …

Bought TNCM and then made a flight to St. Barts. Took several go arounds but managed to finally land. I love the ocean waves in this sim, it's remarkable.

Made a nice flight from KMVY to KBOS in the Hjet. It was serene and relaxing. The gooses and geeses are a nice touch. Boston, this is where I spent the first 19 years of my life.

  20. (Continuing from my Part I) Capt. Gordon Vette knew that if they did not try and help, Prochnow's chance of survival was minimal. In the search attempt, Gordon Vette utilized the (so-called) "Aural Boxing" (search) technique (one that's commonly described in the SAR textbooks, but, personally, had intrigued me, in the story), so, here, I've wished to mimic it, myself, albeit, in an (overly simplified) manner (see below). Vette recognized that the VHF communication link could be exploited to locate the Cessna. He requested that the Cessna orbit continuously, while Prochnow would be talking non-stop over the radio, as Vette raced through the VHF range circle which had a rad…

  21. A flight from Johnson Creek Idaho (3U2) to West Yellowstone (KWYS) Black Square did a nice job on this addon. I'm really enjoying it - tons of switches, fully IFR and flight into known icing certified. Good for short fields (and soft), or bustling class B airports. Cruises around 300 ktas in the lower FL200's. I know they are working to address some flight model issues - but it's shaping up to be one of the better GA addons for the sim so far. 3U2 is payware on the marketplace and is very lovely (and affordable) - it fits in with many surrounding freeware airports in the Idaho backcountry. WYS was done by Windhover as freeware and is also excellent! Un…

  22. Had some time up my sleeves to install the KA350i on the weekend. And loving it. One of the few planes I have where CRTL+E will not start the plane, gotta be by the book although there is a ready to start option that's almost CTRL+E. This plane I noted has a number of model texture load errors occuring, just have to live with them at present... and I did also notice the Hobbs counter was inop and found some fixed gauges in the forum to bring it into life. As well while reviewing the exterior I saw the wheels not quite touching the ground, fortunatelly an easy fix - just had to adjust those wheels downwards a little and once those were done I loaded up …
