The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Used to super commute from Oakland to Seattle every week for almost two years. I miss the flying, but I don’t miss being home all the time. Big Southwest fan, and I enjoyed recreating this familiar route. I’ve only have the 737-700 for a week, but it’s quickly become my favorite.

I think many of us fondly remember the Tongass Fjords add-on scenery that Holger Sandmann first developed for FS9. What a difference to what we have today! I start from the George Inlet Cannery near Beaver Falls, located on the southern shoreline of Revillagigedo Island and after a short stop-over at another cannery in the George Inlet I will end this flight in Ketchikan The next cannery is close to the Twin Peaks mountains Already above the Tongass Narrows Thanks for viewing

(Payware) Developers may create planes, that we like to fly, based on our personal interests, but it's the repainters that add the extra bits of fun, variety, and learning to that plane, by contributing (additional) liveries and colors, whether RW or fictional. These repainters continuously search the planet...🙂...on our behalf, looking for interesting liveries to recreate...for that specific plane. This is significant, because just as the plane itself has a life story to tell, each of its liveries (aka the airlines and colors) also have a story to tell, with a unique appeal and use to the enthusiast, of their own. For example, the same B737 operating in the flatlands of …

Just some shots of a BAe Hawk TMk1 departing EGFF Cardiff, Wales in stormy weather. It was clear at 30,000 ft! For anyone interested, the Hawk livery was worn by XX172, St Athan Station Flight in 2001. I hope they are of interest 🙂.

The landing approach using runway 13 at Kai Tak in Hong Kong was spectacular and world-famous. To land on runway 13, an aircraft first took a descent heading northeast. The aircraft would pass over the crowded harbour, and then the very densely populated areas of Western Kowloon. This leg of the approach was guided by an IGS (Instrument Guidance System, a modified ILS) after 1974. Upon reaching a small hill marked with a checkerboard in red and white, used as a visual reference point on the final approach (in addition to the middle marker on the Instrument Guidance System), the pilot needed to make a 47° visual right turn to line up with the runway and complete the f…

[This post is triggered by bits of readings today about Jetstreams and their effect on transoceanic flights...Hope you enjoy...] When I flew across the Atlantic for the first time, west-to-east (e.g., JFK->LHR) or east-to-west (e.g., LHR->JFK), one of the curious things that I had noticed was the apparent difference in the time taken to travel in each direction. For example, when flying from New York to London, the flight might take around 5 to 6 hours. Whereas, flying from London to New York, will cause the flight to take nearly 2 hours longer, around 7 to 8 hours. This is because of the well-known phenomena called "Jetstreams", those atmospheric air currents tha…

Fine modelled by SamScene is th iconic Gibraltar Rock at the southeastern tip of Spain. Once a strategic militaryl ocation by the UK and with the runway that serves as Spanish-UK border a special landmark. The only way to cross the border and get into gibraltar by foot or by car is crossing the runway when no airtraffic is going on. Greatly modelled via this addon. Enjoy my extended exploration of the scenery: µµ
