The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Always returning to this wonderful plane. My first 3rd party for MSFS and still the best 🙂 Shots below from Nice in France and Naples in Italy. While both are southern Europe, it looks like Autumn has arrived in Nice but not yet in Naples which is further South. Maybe it is just because Naples has photogrammetry. A few from Nice: And some from Naples:

Here are the rest of the pictures for the (iconic) ANA L-1011 Tristar, as I wrap up my short (test) route, after breaking off the INS navigational guidance, and then capture the ILS Rwy signals for touchdown and landing...!! Thanks for viewing...!!

[I've been meaning to explore this (interesting) topic for a while, further triggered by a recent post, here, about Domestic Japanese (ANA) flights. So here is my attempt. As always, if curious, please share bits of my learning or/and enjoy the set of pictures below...] First of all, from the aviation history perspective, for any country, two of the most significant events are (i) When was the first flight? (ii) When was the first airline formed? Many years ago, for several consecutive years, when I often used to travel (by car) from Chicago to Columbus (OH), while passing by Dayton (OH) suburbs, I would see (and occasionally follow through) a highway sign for an exi…

[Please read for a bit of Airbus history, or/and jump to the screenshots, below...] In my earlier post, I'd explored the German leisure charter carrier, Condor (airline), by flying one of their 757-300 a/c from Tenerife South Airport (GCTS) to the German city of Stuttgart Airport (EDDS). This is an airline that currently uses the 753s as the backbone of its fleet. Historically, Condor had used a mixture of 757s (752/753), but the current (757) fleet consists exclusively of only the (stretched) 757-300s (13 examples). Condor has surely put the extended range of the narrow body 753s to remarkable (and profitable) use, by offering attractive (but far-off) leisure destinati…

Just finished a very pleasant flight in the Fenix A320. At Dublin runway 16 was the only one in use, so there was quite the long line of aircraft holding short before departure. I was using the FSLTL injector for AI aircraft and the excellent freeware addons AIGround and AIFlow. These two addons really improve the AI logic, preventing the AI spinning around on taxiways and reducing the number of go-arounds. I'm on SU10 by the way. I also thought the weather was very convincing - I'm using real-time weather. The high-altitude clouds look very low-resolution though. And courtesy of FSLTL there were lots of airliners in the sky with their contrails.

The plane is a bit unusual for this region, to say the least 😉 As Will already said, it appears that everybody seems to travel to Alaska these days. But with such nice scenery add-ons, why shouldn't we 😃 Thanks for viewing

I like to share the place where I was born, raised and actual live: The Belgian Coastal City Oostende('Ostend' in English) and his Airport Oostende-Bruges (EBOS), situated 3 Km west of my home-address. All shots are made in MSFS. Of coarse this airport is the most frequent used for my VFR-flights over the area and as departure for commercial or cargo flights to a multitude of destinations. On the airport is an Air college for flight training and a department(called 'vives') for educating students in aeronautic technics. Unfortunality, I haven't practised both opportunities, I lived 20 years elsewhere. …

Port Alexander is located on the south end of Baranof Island, 65 miles south of Sitka. It provides a safe harbor during the gales and storms that frequent Chatham Strait. It is also an ice-free port during the winter. Today Port Alexander is still a fishing community with a quiet, family-oriented lifestyle. Kruzof Island is an island in the Alexander Archipelago in southeastern Alaska at 57°10′14″N 135°40′29″W. It is about 16 km (10 mi) west of Sitka and hosts the region's only volcano, Mount Edgecumbe. The lodge on Kruzof Island is privately owned and normally not open to visitors. But as we bring supplies to the residents, we are of course very welcome. …

When taking screenshots, I usually keep my subject in the middle of the frame or aim for postcard type scenes. Sometimes I will take a different type of shot. Here are a few recent examples. I hope they are of interest 🙂.
