The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

With the imminent arrival of the AH DC-3 within the Microsoft 40th Anniversary event, I have been running the MSFS roggeberg23 DC-3 to keep my hand in. This shot was in live weather, 40 kt tail wind, not far from PAKO on the way to Cold Harbor. There is some quite spectacular scenery along that Alaskan island chain. TTM

A few interesting a/c thanks to the freeware contributors...Enjoy...! Pictures shown are in the order of the listing below: [777-300ER] Here is a picture of UAL 777-300ER. I have travelled many times on the United 777s. I noted today that UAL has both 777-200 and 777-300ER variants in their fleet for a total count of 96 777s. You may notice the Star Alliance logo on the front fuselage, here. This 777-300ER is equipped with GE engines. [737 MAX 200] To accommodate the higher number of passengers flying onboard the 737 MAX, Boeing designed the MAX 200 specially for Ryanair. In addition to the four main doors and four over-wing exits currently found on the R…

PADU Unalaska Airport is a state-owned public-use airport in City of Unalaska, on Amaknak Island in the Aleutian Islands, off the coast of the U.S. state of Alaska. It is located near the Bering Sea coast of Unalaska Island, 800 miles (1,300 km) southwest of Anchorage. Unalaska Airport has one runway designated 13/31 with an asphalt surface measuring 4,500 by 100 feet (1,372 x 30 m). The airport is sometimes referred to as Dutch Harbor Airport. In 2002, the State of Alaska renamed it Tom Madsen Airport in honor of Charles Thomas Madsen Sr., a bush pilot who was killed in an airplane accident that year. However, the Federal Aviation Administration still refers to it a…

I have noticed (and enjoyed) the increasing inclusion of people in scenery by developers. For me it adds to the immersion especially at the smaller airports. Here are some recent screenshots. I hope that you like them 🙂

EGLC, my favorite airport. I just watched a James Bond movie where he falls on this thing. It was a cool stunt. Is this the bridge from the Larry Potter movie?

First of all, if you're not a native of Germany, neither am I, "Wir lieben Fliegen" means in English, "We love flying", if my internet is telling me correctly, since internet cannot be always trusted...so, one of the real natives, around here...🙂..., could probably confirm the expression. Anyway, such (or similar) expressions on the commercial airplane fuselages is not uncommon...the Airbus A321 Livery "More to Love" of Alaska Airlines (symbolic of Virgin America and Alaska Airlines merger), of which livery, excellent (virtual) pictures were actually posted here a short while ago by a peer member, comes to mind... The 757 has always piqued my interest from day one of…

This is just a short hop (which I did two days ago) around El Capitan Lodge at the Sarkar Cove in Alaska. El Capitan Lodge is just two hours by air from Seattle, nestled within pristine Sea Otter Sound on Southeast Alaska's Prince of Wales Island. It is well-known for the past 30 years for its excellent salmon & halibut fishing I land at the Tokeen Seaplane base, which you can see below, near Keski Island Thanks for viewing

Just did a series of short flights in the freeware Vertigo over several US cities and airports to test the 4090. It's almost unreal to have this sort of performance in MSFS. In terms of motion, most of the time it's surprisingly smooth, with the occasional stutter here and there. Ideally a video would be much better but there are many challenges involved without an external capture card. Image distortions can sometimes be noticeable at lower fps. As main thread limitation is still a thing, these numbers will change when e.g. landing at iniBuild's KLAX in the CPU-heavy Fenix A320. Settings: SU11 beta, 4K, DX12, TAA, frame generation = on, ultra preset (TLOD 200…
