The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

So far, so disappointing. I know it's early access, and I definitely need to re-discover how to do a lot of stuff in XP (get all my controllers mapped properly again etc), but my first impressions are that it looks nothing like as slick as the demo videos I've seen previously. Not that I'm hugely surprised by that, as it seems to be an industry norm, but it doesn't feel any different to my XP 11 setup. In fact on first glance it feels like a bit of a backward step. But we'll see. I wasn't going to go for it initially, figuring I'd wait a while for something nearer finished, but I went back and looked at a few of the teaser videos and let myself be persuaded. I was always …

Another magnificent flight in Alaska. I departed from PAWD Seward for a short hop over to KEB Nanwalek, only around 100nm. The choice of aircraft was not the wisest I discovered when I tried to squeeze the Cessna 414 into the 1850 ft (564 m) runway at Nanwalek. Somehow I managed to get her down safely. But how to get out?

[I have not flown this BizJet in a very long while, but I was reminded of it via an (all-black) livery of it by Matt L, that I came across today in the library. The a/c (see images below), carrying Reg. (VH-AFP), belongs to the Australian Federal Police.] The Hawker 850XP is the final derivative of the world’s longest running corporate jet production program and the best-selling business jet of all the times – the British designed DH.125. Conceived and developed more than 60 years ago by the de Havilland Aircraft Company, the twinjet, originally called DH.125, had entered production as (Hawker Siddeley) HS.125 in 1962. When Hawker Siddeley Aircraft merged with t…

First of all, it's worth noting that the Freighters (or Freight Dogs, as they are sometimes called) are, so to speak, the unsung heroes of aviation. Whether it's a (small) Piper Cub carrying lifesaving essential goods in the Alaskan or Canadian wilderness, or it's a super-heavy 777F/747-8F/330F freighter flying across the Globe and high above the vast Atlantic or Pacific, transporting cargo to far-off destinations, they are all performing vital services...without the fanfare and publicity associated with their pax counterparts. Due to their mission-critical roles, it's the freighters (or freighter segments) that could withstand the severe (business) impact of the pandemic…

Okay, the title is a little bit clickbait-y. This is Air China 1215, daily service from Beijing to Kashgar, an ancient silk road city. This flight will take us across China and the deserts of Inner Mongolia, Gansu, and Xinjiang. Join as at Beijing Capital Airport, where we begin boarding at gate C33 ahead of our 7:05am departure: We've got a good passenger and cargo load, and fueled up for this 5-hour flight we are bumping right up against our MTOW of 79,300kg as we enter 18L for Departure: Takeoff and Climbout from Beijing Capital: Over the Yan Mountains, the landscape becomes much more arid: Crossing …

Inspired by I saw this post and remembered I had a copy of the Convair at one point. Couldn't remember if I'd converted it to MSFS or not but knew I'd got some pix somewhere. After a bit of digging I found them, all dated 2018 sometime so probably P3D v4 I'd guess. So a bit old, but a fun aircraft. I've never seen any pix of the interior of this but I would hope it was gloriously tacky. El is heading off to Salt Lake City for a one-off special at the Tabernacle Hall, taking a break from his Vegas season. Thang yew, thang yew, Layez n' genllmen, Elvis has left the airplane! Intereresting looki…
