The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

[Note: If interested in bits of background on the DC-8, please read the text below, or jump directly to the images of the DC-8-63/DC-8-73...] This post is triggered by the recent sighting, here, in this Forum, of a (Delta) DC-8-53, which made me think of the Super (60/70) DC-8 Series, a JF version of which I thought I'd, but actually didn't see at the moment...(I've the "10-40" series), so, I acquired the (50-70) JF DC8 enhancement, plus the (associated) livery bundle...consisting of a bountiful pack of 60 classic (50-70 Series) liveries...! DC-8, sometimes called the "magnificent" DC-8, is indeed an iconic plane, that e.g., propelled Delta into the Jet Age (the DC-8…

While seating on a park bench today, I watched a small Cessna flying just overhead, and taking the final (and such a smooth) turn to land on a nearby (suburban) airfield... So, I thought of flying a small plane too...and selected my favorite PNW region, in the virtual world. Please find a Piper PA38 Tomahawk (in this interesting, checkered paint), here, on a very short test flight of about ~20 miles, lifting off from KBFI (Boeing Field), then flying directly eastward (i.e., inland) to arrive in the scenic Fall City Airport (1WA6). The private airport community is located just outside Fall City, Washington. The Rwys are simply marked (East/West), and the landing is pu…

Carrying on from my previous post, I'm heading up the coast towards Monterey, Santa Cruz and then putting down at KHAF. Same yellow P-51 but made the weather a bit more changeable. Quite nice as we head off though - Not sure, Big Sur may or may not be around this part of the coast. Had a very nice two night stopover there once. Lovely place. Past Carmel now, turning in over Monterey Weather taking a turn for the worse, just going to buzz the tower on my way past Carrying on up Monterey Bay towards Santa Cruz, weather seems to be heading in the opposite direction Approaching Santa Cruz. Been in the air over 40 minutes …

Or Hotlanta as they call it this time of year. I started on vatsim but then all the controllers logged off (I then remembered why I don't vatsim unless it's an event!) This gave me time to take screenshots.... Routing was: KBNA TIPPN3 BRXTN CHPPR CHPPR1 KATL - FL270. With an MMO of .89 I was screaming towards ATL. I think my groundspeed was over 550 at one point. So here I've started my climbout from Nashville (approach/departure was on but once they left I had more time to take shots) global1 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr I've found this area to be fairly scenic global2 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr I may need to do some low …

Still playing with the 737. Just wasted best part of a day trying to work through the test flight as per their manuals. Tried it several times but it just doesn't seem to work exactly as described, so gave up and went back to my own limited understanding. Did a flight from KSTS to KLAX, basic flight plan, manual take off then auto. Went ok until the end but more on that later. First shot is sort of unrelated, and is just the 737-700 with the lovely old Delta livery parked at KSFO. I had tried just a landing there first to see how that went. Seemed ok'ish so thought I'd try a full flight. So I headed out from KSTS, primarily because I thought that would give me a…

The 737 MAX family of a/c, after nearly 20 months of grounding, now with additional technical upgrades being completed, have begun returning to service, during the last year or so, for airlines around the world. Within U.S., American Airlines was the first carrier to return the aircraft to passenger use in December 2020. It's to be noted that, of the four-member 737 MAX family (-7/-8/-9/-10), it's the middle 2 variants (the MAX 8 and MAX 9) that have already entered commercial service. However, the shortest and longest variants (the MAX 7 and MAX 10), continue to be still undergoing certification, targeted for future delivery (and entry into service) for customers, w…

Nothing very original here 😀 Except the temperatures in France, around 38-39°C. This is your typical European 1-2 hours flight, between Corfù LGKR and Lyon LFLL. With the [insert any emphasizing adjective here] Fenix A320. Pictures are raw, not edited.

Finally time to enjoy some holidays and Msfs again. Leaving a bit the 737, i got my F-16 and decided to paint and play a bit after a long time dedicating to work. Actually this one it was an old request and i really like the task, leaving a bit the commercial aviation and dealing with Fighters details, Its a bit different specially for me because i never saw an F-16 in person. But here it is a short flight around San Diego (Miramar) with this F-16C form the 310th Fight Squadron. Reg 90-0762.

This time I decided to visit the northern area of South America. Should you ask me, what sort of cargo I carry, I’m not at liberty to say. And yes, on occasion I fly way too low for this kind of aircraft. It’s all part of the grand scheme of things. Thanks for viewing

A topic in the main MSFS forum here was talking about FeelThere's airports, and somebody mentioned their OMDB. I hadn't really registered that they'd done a version of that. I have a couple of their airports - they're not great by any means but they were just good enough to be worth buying (on sale from JF I seem to remember). I went to look at OMDB on SimMarket, but the video was a bit off-putting - it didn't actually look any better than how I remembered the default. So I thought I'd go back and look again at the default. When I say "default" I mean in the premium, or whatever it's called, version of the sim, as I think this might be one of the tarted up airports in tha…

[Today, my interest was caught by a repaint, in the library, of a CSA Czech Airlines 737-400. CSA was the last to receive the Final two 737-400s from Boeing factory, and the 737-400 Reg. (OK-FGS), was actually the last 737-400 ever built. So, I wished to fly this one...but could not adapt this CSA repaint for my purpose, instead, I've chosen to fly, here, a Brussels Airlines 737-400, for this post, which airline was also a (prominent) past operator of the 737-400 variant.] The -400 is an interesting 737 variant, that introduced many of us virtual flyers, and aspiring wannabe jet-pilots to 737-flying so-to-speak... virtually, of course...I am thinking of that (stock) …

Not Steve Dra's livery - I hadn't found that when I did this setup but I have now, so next time! This is just me playing around with the 737 still. Hot start on the runway, hand flying to the height and general direction I want to go in, then basic autopilot on while I look around and play with the visuals. Heading off from KCLT and turning around to head SSE, vaguely toward the coast (well, it IS a Navy livery!) quite liking the atmospherics so far but then thought I'd move the clock forward a bit and then went up a bit higher And then I had to go and do real world stuff so canned it.
