Offset value 0898 or &H898 in VB for Engine1 N1 Gauges... it s states 0-16384 (100%) what does that factor up to? (add, subtract, mupltiply, or divide) I don't have clue according to FSUIPC offset table notes. For ex:I wroteDim N1 as long If FSUIPC_Read(&H898, VarPtr(N1),dwResult) Then If FSUIPC_Process(dwResult)Then End If End IfLblN1.Caption = Format (N1 ??? , " 0")If I don't factor up, I get strange result... so anyone with VB6 skills can you help?

Hi, I just bought an Elite AP2000 Avionics panel off eBay, and I was wondering if anyine can answer a quick question - it looks to me like the physical panel is identical to the AP3000 except that it has white blanks where the 3000 has the cutouts for the digital LED readouts....... is this right? If so, maybe I can insert the PICAxe driven LED readouts I've already got working into those places.Richard

Hello All, Does anybody know how to make the glareshield? I was thinking of using some aluminium sheet and then some styrofoam for the thick parts, and then getting my wife to stitch up some leather cover for the whole thing, but there must be a simpler solution. Is there any hobby outfit that sells this on the internet? What does the real thing look like? Thanks in advance Regards, JIM

I am an absolute newbie at this amazing area of flight simming & before I get too carried away, I was trying to find out if I can simply modify an Optec Playstation Yoke/Rudder set to run on FS2004. (I got the yoke/rudders for nothing I thoght it is worth a try.)My logic tells me that it certainly shoud be possible by changing the Playstation connector to a USB or D15 connector - but getting the pin configuration correct is a bit daunting.Has anyone had any experience at this or am I heading the wrong way about this?ThanksPeter

Hi Tuomas,I see on Opencockpits forum you were asking questions regardingtheir USB servo boards.I am thinking of using one and want to know the following, hope you can help.1.Have you worked out what you need to drive the board and how to do it.On the surface its seems a lot more complicated than FSB.2.Does their servo bd drive a servos the full 180.As fsbus only outputsa .9 to 2ms pulse. This will not drive a Hitec 311 the full 180.I dont want to have to gear it.I see Phidgets will do 180.Hope you can shed some light.ThanksLes

Is anybody using the INNOVATEK IN007VG 7" LCD Monitor for their CDU/MCDU setup? I am experiencing an unstable video output on mine. My screen is initially very clear and steady, but then gradually becomes jittery to the point of being unviewable as the monitor heats up. I initially thought that temperature was the problem in my simulator so I took out the monitor and ran it in an air conditioned room. Same result. It makes no difference what resolution I set it to. My refresh rate is 60 hz. The monitor will not operate at any other rate. Any suggestions appreciated.Rick SA320 Sim Project

Hi, i've build the FSCOM3(with HIN232) and FSKEY3(PIC16F84A) module of FSBUS.They're both fine, althought the tests say so. The signaltest on the FSCOM card is succesfull, when i shortcut pin 4 and 10 i get my signal back nice. Then i build the FSKEY, i tried to flash it, but it just doesn't work(it says, write after read error). I measured the pins on voltage. 4 and 5 give 13.5 volts, and pin and pin 12 5v's. So everything is ok, you should say..Anybody know's what's wrong here? I checked the PCB's but also fine..I hope somebody can help me.Tnx,Milan

Anyone who has one of Leo's Beta Innovatons input devices shold go to his website and download his new BIFS software. It installs as a module inside MSFS, detects any BI product, and lets you assign any key on the hardware to any MSFS function. A lot easier than his Keyboard Studio app (and that wasn't bad itself)Richard

Hi all, Regretably I need to sell my 2 Boeing 727 flightdeck seats for reasons that annoy the #### out of me! They are both in pretty good condition, although the sheepskin covers need a good wash! All of the hydraulics in them work fine, although these are not electrically operated seats! Both have seatbelts with working mechanisms too! They are both based in SE England, and available now if anyone is interested. Shipping might be a pain due to their bulk, but I suspect they each weigh between 20 and 30 kilos each if that helps anyone. If you want to know more (esp. about the cost!), then please email me at [email protected]://forums.avsim.net/user_files…

737 fans must check this out.http://www.popcircle.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2460I thought the PIC 767 was fully capapble of being interfaced for simbuilders ? Well then I supose this one will be just the same.I have to say that I'm not so much a lover of big birds, but if the 300 is in this pack, I might buy it someday. I like the Old Gen much better than the NG's.*edit* I just realise that it was called LEVEL-D 767 and not PIC .. but is LEVEL-D not the next gen of the PIC ? Same publisher perhaps ? Well, for sure I hope so for you 737-guys out there :D

Here is a short video of my electrical panel in action. Notice the following steps in the video, and the synchronous operation of the synoptic displays in the background.1. External ground power is available, so it is activated2. After a few moments the buses receive power and the panel comes alive3. The APU generator is closed, the Master Battery is activated and the left bus tie is closed4. The engine page is selected and the left and right engines are started in sequence.5. Once the left engine is running, external power is disconnected and the left engine crossbleeds to both buses. The fault annunciations also extinguish for the left engine.6. Once the right engine is…

Hello, as it seems that nobody noticed this question wich might be simple to answer by some of you, what is the exact color under the glare panels of the 737 NG ? You understand what i mean ? the side under, perpendicular to the MIP, approx 30-35 cm distance MIP / FRONT...Is it Black, as around the MIP, or blue/grey as the MIP ?Can't find a picture of it, i need this info for finishing my painting. Thanks

This is VERY basic.http://community.webshots.com/album/364846772eoDwOV?321If you need something to help you "see" your monitor while you're flying at night (both virtual and RW) when someone turns on a ceiling light,etc..Or if there's lots of natural lighting in the room.Perhaps I'm the only one with this problem.I tried a monitor hood. Then an anti-glare screen....finally this.

hello all simmer,Just finished to hook up the overhead backlite. I am thinking about the Korry indicator now. I will not use the original Korry light bulb. Instead I will use LED light which takes 3V power. For backlite light, I can use an old PC AT power box to supply the 5V power. Now, for 3V, any suggestion of power supply with abandent current, at least above 4 amp.http://alkit.fotopic.net/p15978929.htmlThank you!Alkitwww.alkit.net

Guys,I tussling with a problem to get 3pci cards of the type above to work in FS9 along side the Parhelia.I know its possible because a poster indicated so on the Matrox Support site.Ive been unable to contact him.Windows recognises the cards alright and displays an extended desktop. The problem arises in FS9.Here Panels can be undocked and appear on their respective monitors but only while in windowed mode.Go back to full screen and they revert back to main screen.I think this maybe because FS9 does not recognise them.I think this is so because if i look in FS9 settings/display then only the Parhelia is listed.I have the latest drivers for this card and also tried to ente…

Hi It seems that everyone over @ opencockpits.com has left for summer vacation? So I'll ask here also:How do I use the offset $3110? Could someone give an example?Even better, how can I use the $3110 offset with IOCards or SIOC?The reason is that I need to send the control: ENGINES_AUTO_START to FS with justt one pushbutton, and also the SIM_RESET with one pushbutton. And I just can't seem to figure out how to do that with IOCards or SIOC.I know it's not realistic, but I need these functions for a cessna project that goes on display where "ordinary" people try the simulator. And they can't spend time learning for example the starting procedure ect.Any help would be much a…
