  4. Hello everyone I hope you’re doing good, I recently got a nice memorabilia from planereclaimers.aero, which is an original headset from the cockpit of a condor B757-300 reg. D-ABOL. It’s in very good condition and it looks amazing. Now I wanted to ask how can I maybe use it in FSX or X-plane, if at all? It has a 1/4 inch jack. I just wanted to be sure to not damage anything and if anyone knows if there’s some adapter specially for it. Thanks! Best regards

  5. Just wanted to share with you my latest creation. Fully working Brake ACCU PRESS indicator gauge! Configured with Mobiflight. Compatible with SL3 MIP. Made for everyone building an home cockpit powered by Flight simulator. For more infos just PM me

  6. Hello and good day everyone, Since recently I’m interested in building a small home cockpit for FSX. Nothing too big, but I plan to use as many real parts as possible. I was thinking about a B747 or B757 one. Now I wanted to ask, does anyone know where I can get dimensions for the instrument panels of either the 747-400 or B757? I would appreciate any help. Thank you! Regards

  8. Flight simulation enthusiasts, take note! The Rowsfire B107 B737 Overhead Panel Standard Edition has just received a full upgrade. With APU auto reset, precise engine start control, and full native EGT instrumentation, it is virtually identical to the originally planned Pro version, which has now been temporarily suspended. Getting the Standard Edition today gives you the ultimate experience at a lower price. Standard Edition vs Planned Pro Edition: Core Comparison Bottom Line: The Standard Edition fully integrates the core functions of the Pro Edition. From appearance to hardware to control experience, it offers a Pro …

Looking for some thoughts and feedback on a home build between 737-NG or Max. Nolan was to build an NG but I’m having second thoughts. Is Max the way to go? One advantage with max is less physical gauges in the MIP. But, the flip side to that is will it lose some “authenticity”, as gauges look “real” vs screens. That said, I’m seeing more and more Max hardware on the market. But is it on par with NG? Will Max end up making NG hardware less common - I plan to build over time and would hate to start out with NG and then have to switch to Max halfway. For reference, planning on MS2024 (already have it), PMDG, and Mobiflight. Any thoughts appreciated.

  10. A Landing gear Lever or Toggle Switch for your DIY Home Cockpit or Flight Simulator is a great addition. Here, using pre-built and conveniently labeled panels found on Amazon, you can add your own landing gear lever for under $20.00.

Hi, I am just about to take delivery of a fixed base sim, purely for home use. It had long been an ambition to build one myself, but mobility issues now make that impossible, so I am having to go "turnkey". As you might imagine, this isn't cheap and I am thinking about how best to insure it against, for example fire. The sim will consist of a fully enclosed cockpit, with emulated hardware and a three projector 220 degree screen, installed in a large, detached, garage. I am in the UK and would appreciate any feedback from folks who have an expensive flight sim setup, particularly in the UK, and how you have insured it. The value will be well above any single…

  12. I recently bought a few button switches and want to modify my cockpit, but I have no idea where to start. I'd appreciate some guidance. Current situation: I have several illuminated rocker switches and 22mm latching buttons, as well as an Arduino board, but I don’t understand circuit connections or programming. My main questions are: How do I connect the buttons to the Arduino? Do I need additional resistors? How can I make the computer recognize these buttons as game controllers? How can I make the button lights change according to the game status (e.g., green light on when the engine starts)? I hope experienced frie…

  13. When will the CPflight MCP's are working with FS2024 & PMDG 737. Anybody any news about that? there is noting on the website from cpflight??

Hi all I have a macro file to control various switches in my home built cockpit. The aircraft has a rotating dimmer switch to control light intensity Does anyone know the best type of switch to use ,potentiometer or rotary encoder I use rotary encoders for hsi adf and vor but they are continuous in both directions and the light dimmer switch on the panel is not continuous Cheers Rhys

  15. After enjoying my ultra-low-budget 2DOF Motion Simulator for 3 years I decided to build a budget 6DOF Motion Simulator. The jump from a static VR cockpit to a moving motion rig was as much of an immersion leap as from flatscreen to VR, if not more. Upgrading from 2DOF to 6DOF is even more awesome! As a matter of fact, It’s an absolutely mind-blowing level of awesome! The immersion is complete. There are some minor issues to iron out and tweak, but I can say that it’s so worth it. I was worried about cogging, but I couldn’t even feel it during the flight because there was so much motion going on all the time. The motors heat up to ~46C max with new settings (lower PWM…

Hello everyone, We built a B738 cockpit. https://737projectcom.wordpress.com/ The cockpit software used is Ifly737 cbe,p3dv4 and Pilot2atc 3. We're having a problem with the flight plan generated by pilot2atc3. Ifly737 cbe can't open the .pln file stored in fsplan. Do you know why? Another question: Could we send the .pln file to P3DV4 and then have it read by iflycbe? If so, how? Thanks for your help. Pat.

  17. Hi.. I just install MCDUs from winwing , i put one as Captain and the other as Fo.. My problem is , on the FO side the key are working fine but display on MCDU blank.., Does any one have same problem like this..? Im using MSF2020, with Fenix a320, and also i do try with Xplane 11 with Toliss , the problem still the same...

  18. Hey, I am not getting the com1 stby-Frequency of the fenix rmp. Anyone else having that issue? What software I use and what I tried: - Touch Portal Fenix Pages: Active Frequency changes properly, stby doesn't (it's on a 500ms readout, the variable doesn't change) - Lorby Axis and Ohs: The com1 Panel works fine for setting and switching frequencies, active is read out perfectly, stby just doesn't get updated. - Observed K-Events for changes in Lorby: K-Event for changing the active Frequency is fired, no Event for the passive one is fired. I am getting the feeling that the fenix isn't setting / updating the designated L-Var. Did anyone have that iss…

  19. I’m not building a home cockpit but am buying numerous airbus hardware to enhance the experience. Want to purchase 2 14” screens for the four main panels. I experimented with popping out panels and even the tiny backup ADI dropped my Framerate from a solid 60 FPS with no stutters to an unflyable 17 FPS. Does anyone know why this happens and if there is a solution? Cockpit builders are bound to know how to put panels on separate screens without destroying performance. Many thanks. Don

  20. I visited the headquarters of Aviatek, founded by Bartosz Szymański and Katarzyna Żendarska. Aviatek had already built the Avionics Panels for my other project: the Citation Mustang Simulator. This time around, I got to test their Diamond DA42 Fixed Based Trainer. Built with the highest quality components, the most complete G1000 NXi Package (all vectors and synthetic vision working), Brunner equipment, a 1-1 cockpit with all switches and indicators fully functional. Overall, I was more than impressed by this Simulator - the fidelity, flight dynamics and complete Avionics package makes it one of the best simulators I have reviewed.

Seems innovative and effective products… Worth to have a look… https://www.hakermann.com/

  22. Desktop Pilot has taken off as a company providing many Flight Simulator panels and now, Avionics. At the SUN 'n Fun, I got to meet the team, and was extended the courtesy of testing out their Cessna 172 Simulator, with Garmin G1000 Avionics, and providing feedback to the Engineers. They did a fantastic job with this new creation. For those of you who can make it, check them out at the FlightSimExpo: https://flightsimexpo.com/ 👏🏻👏🏻

  23. Here is an easy way to create button boxes or flight simulator switch/avionics panels, that can be easily swapped out. The mounting system allows for a modular system that includes wire management, portability, modifications such as painting it or drilling holes, and can be easily cut to fit the project's dimensions.

So currently I just use a basic joystick with a built-in throttle that sits on my desk but I would like to start building something that feels a little bit more like a cockpit. In some people's setups, I have seen something that attaches to your desk and allows you to put a throttle or joystick so it sits lower at a more natural height but I am not sure what they are called so I can search for them online. Also, is there a particular brand you would recommend? I want to make sure whatever I get feels sturdy enough. Thanks

  25. Hello, I’m trying to interface an ON/OFF switch for the EXT POWER function on the A320 FBW overhead panel in MSFS 2020 via MobiFlight and an Arduino Mega 2560. However, the only input configuration I’ve found in MobiFlight isn’t stable—it’s not a definitive "ON" command and depends on GPU availability. I’m facing the same issue with other functions like BAT1, BAT2, FUEL < ENG1/2, CTR TK PUMP1/2, and APU START, which I’ve also interfaced using the available input configurations in MobiFlight. These don’t act as true "ON" commands but rather as toggle orders. Does anyone have any leads or solutions to help me out? Thanks in advance! 😉 Didier
