Good news for flightdeck builders!I had a few GF-166 questions for Doyle at GoFlight and he mentioned that they are making a remote mounting kit for the GF-166. Hopes to have it available next month. That's all I know right now.Richard

Anyone interested in getting their hands on a real C-130 cockpit there are about 10 that are being dismantled at KGED in Georgetown, DE. The a/c are being stipped for parts....I'm sure the cockpits will be free as long as you come in and cut them out ...bring your torches

Hi all,Hoping for some help with our B737 sim using Project Magneta, FS2002 and EPIC USB. Much of the information we need was posted here before, but disappeared after the AVSIM facelift. We're ready to start connecting our primary flight controls and throttle quadrant functions (spoilers, independent throttles, flaps) and need to know the best method and hardware (pots, etc). Can all of these functions be via USB interface and is EPIC involved? What is the best way to handle the intermediate flap handle settings and correctly recognize the position of the handle? Any help would be greatly appreciated.Cary

Hi all,I bought a KE72 for my cockpit project. In their web site they state:"In addition to "dry" contact closures, connection to 5V CMOS or TTL circuits is also possible. The KE72 considers a low level as an active input."Does anybody know how to do this? I already have a TTL circuit with its own 5V power supply. I asked Hagstrom how to do that but they never replied. Thanks,Gabriel

Hi all,Can someone provide some guidance on how to interface the flap control lever from an actual 737 cockpit (9 position) with FS2002.FSUIPC and a potentiometer seemed like a good idea, but the travel distance between selected flap positions is not constant. Is EPIC a better alternative? Thanks,Cary

Greetings all!I'm in the early stages of building a Boeing-type CDU. I have pretty much selected everything except the display. I have ordered my panel parts from PCos of a320project fame, and I have my first KE72 in hand. (EPIC after I get my feet wet) Now to find the "perfect" LCD to fit in the space alotted.Has anyone found the "perfect" LCD module? I'm leaning toward purchasing from partsexpress.com. Nice stuff, seemingly good support, and reasonably priced. Any help in keeping me from reinventing the wheel would be greatly appreciated. Thanks allMark

I'm probably in the wrong place. I'm not looking to build a cockpit but I do want to obtain/build a 120-key pad that resides between my regular keyboard (or connected in some other fashion) and my computer. The pad must be programmable and I would like the buttons to light (on/off) as I use them. The purpose of this pad is to input all of the relevant FS2002 key combinations so I don't have to keep pulling out my keyboard drawer and stretching my fingers all over the keyboard to hit 3 keys.I've looked at several commercial keypads. One company did not have a pad with enough keys. Another had a membrane type pad with 120 touch pads but there was no light function and …

I need some help with defining AXIS.Background: I want to put two throttle controls, flaps, and trim on a computer attached to the main computer with WideViewpro. Unfortunatly, I haven't an EPIC Card and I don't know of anyone that has conected these controls from a separate computer via WideFS - Or has someone?I have checked Peter Dawson's documentation and he indicates that throttles etc need to be connected to either AXIS 3®, 4 (U), 5 (V), or 6 (POV).The AXIS I want to assign are:AXIS_THROTTLE1_SETAXIS_THROTTLE2_SETFLAPS_SETAXIS_ELEV_TRIM_SETQuestion: If I connect the usual 4 pots to a normal JOYSTICK[00] port, how can I asign them to AXIS 3,4,5 & 6 instead of 1 (X…

To be easier, I was thinking in connect everything using USB, using PFC jetyoke, goflight, etc, but I found hard to have a FMC without EPIC, or am I wrong ?Another question about throttle quadrant, reverse, etc, do you think it can work via USB ? I think EPIC is very complex to setup and connect, or not ?Thanks again,Ulisses

As far, I have already obtain each password in order to use PFD/ND/Engine... I and into next step getting all connection work propertly. Now I suppose I went a little bit confusing with the supplement on direction that I printed from PFD website, "The common information" And here I may need your help or advise. Partiuclar related to mandatory PFD parameter. Now First thing I need to know is, Do I need to install PFD set up on each 3 computer that I am using for connection? For your information: Computer number 1 is for PFD/ND, Computer number 2 is for Engine and Computer number 3 is for External View. The computer Number 3 is the only computer that has FS2002 installe…
