Hi everybody!I'm looking for some special type of material that I could engrave with a CNC machine. This means two layers: one that is painted(wich I will engrave) and the other one, behind, that lets the light go through. I've read about perspex but I' m not sure that it has two layers. Anyone has some web adress to give me or some infos about this type of product?Thank you very much!!:-)

  7. Hi,many-many people we already use the existing Fsbus version with a lot of PICs and PCBs made and we was expecting all of use the new Fsbus version to improve the existing fuctionality. My quesion is if the new fuctions of the new Fsbus system will be also compatible to old design. i.e It will support the new version of software blank displays in old made FsDisplay PCBs ? It will support brightness? etc.How Dirk means the compatilbe with old systems?regardsEddie ArmaosAthens-Greece

Does anyone have a suggestion for connectors for the DO board? The connections on my card are the same size and distance apart as the headers for jumpers (64mm -.025"). I basically need jumpers that have wires coming out instead of shorting the contats.Any guidance is appreciater. Could not find anything on Digikey or Mouser.

Hiya guys, this is my first post so forgive me if its a dumb one!Okay; two questions to begin with ;)1) On FSBUS in the Router program, we have several Flight Sim detinations, including FUEL.Things such as "Centre Capacity" are pretty obvious, they hold the data with the fuel tank's current level? But what is "Centre"? How does one on FSBUS select between tanks, like the real aircraft on their overheads have fuel valves we can open/close? Are these in FSBUS? FInally, can we dump fuel? (And/or Refuel in flight?).....as ive seen some FS2002/4 Aircraft have fuel dump on the panels, so surely we can use it via FSBUS?Many thanks!

Hi guysJust noticed some problems I want to share. I just cut some panels with my cnc machine in white 3 mm thick plexiglas (perspex), which went very fine. Then I sprayed primer on it (which was made black to block the light), then the boeing brown colour was sprayed to it.Now I started experimenting with engraving the lines and characters on itWith a 0.8 mm fraise (cutter) I made characters of 5 mm height, with a 0,5 mm fraise I made the 4 mm characters.Sometimes (specially with the smaller characters) the paints gets of the plexi. Especially characters like the "A" (the triangle in the middle) or the character "E" (between the horizontal lines) are troublesome. The frai…

I'd like to hear the oppinion of those of you whom got a nearly finished full cockpit environement.I am staring for 1h now at this picture:http://home.planet.nl/~nwkaan/images/Overhaul/MySim5.jpgAnd I am wondering if I shouldn't switch to a setup like this. Re-use the most important parts I got already like overhead panel, glare and pedestall. This is +/- what I have so far:http://users.skynet.be/plipke/PF50HC/images/roof.jpgI am starting to think that wanting to continue this project is financialy unrealistic.Either way, I will get functionality .. but how important is it realy to re-create the enviro as much as possible ?

Does anyone know where I can buy one or am I going to have to hack my GoFlight unit? With my (non-existant)skills I would probably wreck it and have to buy another one!CheersIan

Talk about some tedious wiring!! After about 3-4 long days of wiring, the electrical panel is finally fully wired! The logical code is done, I am just working on the I/O code. The panel is 100% independant of all other panels, and requires only 1 USB cable, and a cannon plug (5/28 volt power supply) to function.http://www.t-b-x.com/prather/777project/ne.../elecPanel1.JPGBefore wiring began. All these wires were left on the switches when they were removed from the aircraft.http://www.t-b-x.com/prather/777project/ne.../elecPanel5.JPGThe new wiring!http://www.t-b-x.com/prather/777project/ne.../elecPanel2.JPGhttp://www.t-b-x.com/prather/777project/ne.../elecPanel3.JPGhttp://ww…

Hi to allI want to expand my fsbus system now with fsdisplay. But I will use smaller 10mm 7 segm leds with another pin layout. So I studied the fsdisplay schematics and the pcb's to see what pin of the pic goes via what pin of the displaybus to what pin of the 7 segm led. I used the standard fsbus documentatiion for this.If I follow the K1-K5 lines from the pic to the displaybus (with the 16 pins) I notice that K5 of the schema (page 6 in the docs)goes to K1 on the displaybus (page 7 doc). K2 to K4, K3 is OK, K4 to K2, and finally K5 to K1. Besides that I saw that the first 2 pins (belonging to segment f and g) were switched in the schema, they must be ok on the pcb becaus…

Hi people Sorry about the double post(here/hardware forum) but maybe I'll have more luck here :) I just got a set of Pro Pedals, they are great, just need some time to get used to them. I still find its centering mechanism to be a little too fast and kind of hard. Is there any hacking tip or tutorial on how to improve the CH Pro Pedals motion/smoothness to feel more like real airplane rudder pedals? Maybe changing a spring or something? I'm not saying to get rid of the centering stuff but just make it smooth and not so hard. Thanks Leo
