THese were taken several weeks ago. Since then the overhead has been filled and the lamp wiring completed. When my 5VDC/40A power supply arrives I'll begin wiring the lightplates, and then begin the signal wiring to the keyboard emulator.

Hi Guys,My 2-Engine Jet Throttle Console arrived last night from Simware Simulations. However, it did not come with a manual. Does anyone own one of these, and can you tell me what type of power supply needs to be used, as well as how to set it up inside FS2004. I have the registered version of FSUIPC Ver 3.48.Thank youMichael

Guy's (Ozzie Rodrigues and Bob Seaman), I just wanted to extend my thanks for the time you two took to help me by looking up, and sending me the pin-out diagrams for the 3514 HF head for my Boeing 727-200 simulator project.I know you guys are very busy with paying customers using the latest and greatest from Gables Engineering, but by helping me, you showed just what kind dedication you two have in your customer support area. The radio head is working perfectly and fits in very well with the rest of the Boeing 727 overhead panel. Again I say, thank you! Sincerely, Michael

Hi All,I was wondering if any of you could help.Back in March I was researching how to build your own home cockpit, as I want to put together a realistic sim of the Grob Tutor for the Air Cadet Sqn of which I am the Commanding Officer. I thought that I made bookmarks for all of the sites which were of interest to me. One in particular dealt with a project to design and etch your own PCBs to drive analog/digital instruments. An open source EPIC replacement if you will. I see from these pages that FSBUS is a DIY solution, but are there any others out there, as I don't recall any of the site I was browsing being in German, and there was much more to it that there is at the …

Hi folks, I've completed construction of my Boeing 727 overhead project and now I've begun the wiring phase of the project.I know that these lightplates operate on 5VDC, but I don't know how much current is required to push this voltage for all of the lightplates wired in parallel. I've experimented with a 5VDC 900mA PS, but this will only light one lightplate normally at a time. When I wire up another one in parallel, the light output halves. It's seems like it's wired in series when this occurs and I've tried wiring them both ways but the outcome is the same. Some of these lightplates have up to eight or ten bulbs such as the hydraulics control module. My only assumption…

Hi All, I refrained myself until now to either post on this subject or do anything else but today I finally filed following claim at Pay Pal: After checking internet forums and few e-mail exchanges, I did buy From Being Seen Tech. on 14.02.05 EL sheets and dimmable transformer and made the payment with the note 'FedEx shipment'. According the e-mail offer: "Hello Samin, Total cost for the customizeable EL sheets, in white, with the 12V/220VAC inverter and connection materials, free tech support. total = $307.51 plus shipping. Airmail shipping - 7 - 11 days - $39.55 (no tracking number, no insurance) FEDEX shipping - 2-3 days - $98.84 (comes with a tracking number and insu…

Has anyone tried the SLI Card route? Two cards linked will supply four monitors. I use three monitors for outside view (120 deg), and the fourth one for engines. A PCI Matrox card gives me PFD for both pilots using a video splitter. My frame rates in FS2004 are between 50 and 60 with all sliders full up and some add on's as well! A new motherboard was required as well as a massive power supply. I have two 1g ddr memory sticks and the two SLI graphics cards. My Processor is 3.5g.This lot set me back

Hi,I am making very good progress with the FSUIPC interface for Level-D's SDK. Overhead, NAV1 and NAV2 are ready and tested. I'm now working on the AFDS. I decided to release the functionality via my FSCONV program. The FSCONV User Manual is almost ready, a preliminary version (2.0) can be downloaded from my website.I expect to make my program available for sharing on Monday evening, March 21st (Spring Time!).Regards,Nicowww.nicokaan.nl

I was wondering if anyone here has tried their FsXpand/FsClient software yet? It seems like an easy and affordable way to use other monitors for your instrument panel.I'm trying to run it on only my main FS PC at the moment (I guess it's primarily made to use in networked systems), and not having much luck yet, but I sent them an e-mail requesting help recently.I can see the minor drawback of not being able to customize the exact look of the instruments, but they are easy to resize and move, not to mention how it can support so many joysticks through the network, one could work around using a keyboard emulator. No this isn't a free advertisement, I'm just wondering if anyo…

Hi,first of all I want underline that I'm a beginner so be patient please ehehLast night I donwloaded and installed FSBUS router (I didn't make FSBUS board yet) just to have a look...I opened first my FS2004 and then I launched FSBUS router, then I loaded a simulation and tried to "play" with light switches (CESSNA 172) to see if something happened in FSBUS router but...no one of the values reported from the program changed so now I wonder if I must have FSBUS board phisically connected the the pc to see something...where could I find a guide explaining how to use FSBUS router? And where could I find some example of how to wire switches with FSBUS board to make them contro…

Our friend Fernando Brea has finished a new system for ON-737 project. Now, ON-737 have Fuel and Electric systems finished. This project is a real simulator of boeing 737-800 for X-plane and Fsimulator.ON-737 not build a simulation of operations. ON-737 is a real simulation of components (valves, bus, cables, ...) and interactions. If a component fail, system fail and you can apply abnormal procedures for this fail.ON-737 project have modules for MCP, EICAS, PFD, ND, Radios, CDU... And modules for systems. All systems has been programmed using SIOC over IOCP protocol. You can download a demonstration video of fuel system :http://www.opencockpits.com/modules.php?na...p=getit&…

Hi,I'm a beginner and I would like to start with cockpit building.I've downloaded from www.fsbus.de all the documentation to use the FSBUS technology. It's pretty clear to me how the FSBUS interface works but it's not clear how I can interface an instrument (the speedometer for example). How is an instrument electrically driven? With an analogic level voltage? (a ramp signal for example).Should I build a DC/AC converter to drive the instrument? (supposing it's driven by a voltage).Where should I find any tutorial to connect FSBUS and instrumentation?Thank you, best regards.Bob

Hi All,I thought I would share a small project I have been working on for my MS FS 2004. This is a panel I built to emulate the Cessna 172 cockpit controls. The Com and Nav tuning is done with return to center toggles for whole and decimal digits along with a push button to make the standby the active. All avionics can be controlled from it as well as OBS1, OBS2, ADF,Altimeter, Gyro heading and gyro compass, all lights, fuel select, pitot heat, fuel pump, and starter. The panel face is about 8.5 X 8.5. It works great and with my CH yoke and rudder pedals, along with voice controlled ATC from vox ATC it is all quite immersive.Hope you like it.Thanks,Tomhttp://forums.avsim.…

Hi folks!Recently I am buzzy with exams and that calls for some SERIOUS relaxation therapy so that's how I ended up flying online once in a while with my laptop. Each (3) times so far I used the Eurowings BAe146.While flying this plane and panel .. I got to admit .. I love this one so much more than the Fokker 50. This is a plane I can actually land smoothly. So there you have it .. since my project is at a freeze-stage anyway .. I will look into changing to BAe 146 now. Re-use all the equipment I got so far. Build a new overhead. I got to re-build all other panels anyway. Sad thing 'bout the TQ now but the BAe146 has no reversers so no big deal for a new TQ.There has …
