Has anyone looked into the usefulness of the above mentioned software? What Cockpit builders do is not so different from robot builders - interfacing hardware with software. It looks like there are some interesting components...Oh - the link:http://msdn.microsoft.com/robotics/Simpit

Hello,Anyone know how to operate this kind of LCD screens? It seems not just plug in the VGA port. Not that easy. Anyone have experience or idea baout using them? They are good for inserting into cockpit panel without less concern about the frame size. That's why I am thinking about it.sample:http://cgi.ebay.com/NEC-Gateway-19-LCD-Pan...oQQcmdZViewItemhttp://cgi.ebay.com/ACER-17-LCD-SCREEN-XGA...1QQcmdZViewItemThank youAlkit

Hi, i have Fsbus system (hardware & software) and i use it to read & write in Fsuipc offsets for Fs2004 & PM. So, i made my pedestal and trying to setup the ADF2 i found that even if i was using the correct offset (02d4) i was receiving the ADF1 freq. I tryed to setup the ADF2 in the same way as Dirk has the ADF1 in std FsBus setup. I know that there are 2 offsets for ADFs, if there is not Fs or Fsuipc problem maybe there is something wrong in Fsbus. I'm just asking if anyone else had the same problem, or if the ADF2 is not working 100%. Thanks Eddie Armaos Athens - Greece

If a 2 Bit Gray Encoder has 24 detents and the Cycles/Rev is 6, is this the same as saying it has 1/4 cycle per detent? Thanks, Darren Sugden

Hi,You should not miss this nice opportunity offered by the latest version of FSUIPC. See how Ian Cameron improved his home cockpit with this flight control, at my web site, page what's new.Although Ian is building a 767-300 I think it's applicable to any jet aircraft.Cheers,Nicowww.nicokaan.nl

I have acquired an illuminated switch panel made by Korry that I plan to mount in the control pedestal of my generic flight deck setup.A few questions for those familiar with Korry switches. Each push-button, which is 13/16" square, easily pulls out. There's a guide post with a spring at the bottom of each which fits into the panel housing to allow for the pushbutton action. The top of each button is a solid piece with black lettering on translucent white. I don't know how to remove the cap to access the bulb. I'd like custom design my own cap labels, but I haven't a clue where to find blanks.I plan to hook the panel up to a Hagstrom Keyboard Encoder Module. Some of the…

Yes,I am hooked on flight simming, and making a flight deck.Unfortunately, I do not have much of a budget $$.Here is my first throttle quadrant made out of a napkin dispensor I saw at my workplace. (see attachment)( you should have seen the look on my co-workers faces as I picked this thing up and looked it during lunch).Anyways, it is close to being fully functional, just have to wire 3 more switches up. Thought you guys would get a good laugh out of it.Polmer

Hi everyone...I have just built a co-pilot's yoke for my King Air sim. It uses two pots - one for elevator and one for aileron and I want to interface it with FSBUS on my system. For my captain's Yoke I use a CH yoke.I wnet to try and install and set up but I have some questions:1) It set up nicely in FSBUS and added FS destinations for elevator and aileron's2) When I try and fly it will not work in FS9.3) I still have the CH yoke installed in FS9 and this runs fine4) Should I be doing something with my FSUIPC ?5) Should I disconnect the CH Yoke completely from FS9 ?6) Any ideas on how to get both working at same time ?Many thanks...JB

Hi Guys,If anyone is interested I have posted my SIOC code for PMSystems on my website ( www.b738sim.com ) . It covers most switches and annunciators but its still a work in progress. Obviously the In's and Out's have to be changed to make it suitable for your own use but they are easy to locate for those who are SIOC beginners like myself. I make no gaurantee's on this file but I hope it helps some out there.Kind Regards,Brad Heller.Newcastle, Australiawww.b738sim.com

Hello,I built a desktop radio/autopilot stack a few years ago using a keyboard encoder and FSUIPC to map the buttons as well as an LCD display with FSLCD controlling it. I would like to convert it to a USB button setup and use LED displays for the displays (radio freqs/auto pilot hdg/speed/altitude etc.) I need to control about 40 momentary push buttons and 15 single and 4 dual rotories. What would be a good solution for this and where can I find dual rotories and led displays.I have scanned the forum and it seems like there are many options, I just don't know which route to go. Thank you for your help.David

Gentlemen ,I have read a lot on stuttering in FS , but really I did not have a final conclusion yet .Apparently there is no a general remedy for that , each system has a particularity. I would like that someone appears here with a final setup, for OS and FS , so that the stuttering disappears completly . Today , I will do some trials in my system , I changed my videocard from ATI 9600 to ATI X800 and I got more stuttering I had before. My system has a P4/3GZ/1GBRam/X800 GTO(256MB).If someone has any tip please go ahead I would appreciate any comment. Thanks and regardsAlberto Kunzel

The new FSIM 2.0 (former BIFS) unifies the control and configuration of all BI modules and integrates them into the MSFS.I tested my new ElectronFlux output and the GammaRay input boards with the new FSIM application and I am impressed. The responsiveness is something I have not experienced for a long time, since previously I had to pass keyboard emulation commands through FSUIPC. Now, FSIM circumvents that by allowing direct access to FS internals - functions, variables and masking + keyboard emulation - so there is no need for FSUIPC services for this kind of operation anymore.Add to that full control over the ElectronFlux LED, 7seg, etc. outputs and my cockpit needs ar…

Hi All,Decided to finally take a deep breath and actually build the simpit I've been dreaming about for so long.Would love to build Vulcan bomber simpit, but recognise this is way beyond my current skill or patience levels. So I need to focus on something which is within budget and which I can actually build. My main requirement is something with which to have fun flying with combat simulator software and preferably on-line against real people. For realism I'd like the cockpit to be a close approximation to the real thing, I'm not bothered about being exact to to within a millimeter.Personal preference and interests have narrowed my choice down to Sopwith Camel or Hawker H…
