It is quite difficult to intimidate or cross me - especially after having done this in my latest scuba safari (I am the third guy from the left - the one with the pink regulator). As I've always thought - there are no real sharks around - only clown fish! And they know who they are .http://www.excitingsimulations.com/temp/L-Dsc07027.jpgLOL!

I posted this on the Flightsim Hardware section didn't get any response. So here goes.I am looking to purchase hardware avionics. Any suggestions and ideas?I have been looking at this ITRA Avionics. It costs around 800Euros + 50Eur for shipping,http://sim.itra.de/default_en.htmI currently have Flightlink's TR-1. Its a nice unit when it works..but the USB card in it has been giving me grief. The unit keeps freezing on me.. and getting out of Fsim and getting back in brings it back on after a few tries. I bought a new USB card for it spending about $300 bucks to fix the freeze issue and now it has started doing the same.http://www.aviationsimulation.co.uk/acatalog/Avionics.…

Hi,Flashed the Attiny CC with the disp_tiny_cc file(date 28-08-2005)without problems.Set in fsadmin the CID to 1.Adjust the brightness and played around with the sliders to display some numbers. All without problems.Start the router software and route CID 1 to the NAV1 freq. All what's happens the display stay's dark.Downloaded the zip file fsbus2_4_1.zip and installed the software again.Couldn't find the right firmware for the Attiny2313 CC.When disconnecting and connecting the 10 pin flatcable to the sixpack pcb the number 1 digit shows 1 for a short while.I did send an e-mail to Dirk but no response.Ask this question on the German forum, but no solution. So, I hope there …

I'm selling my simulator bases that I bought last year. I wound up with a T-38 fuselage about a week after I purchased these bases and needless to say my direction changed. I have decided that I'm not going to build a King Air 90 so I'm selling the stuff I had bought for that purpose. If you thinking of building a cockpit then these just might be what you need to get over that first hurdle.here's the eBay link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...TRK%3AMESE%3AIThttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/147830.jpg

Hi everybody, problems are not finished yet.My IO card (NG) seems to be ok. I connected a 12 rotary(4 stage) as HDG/Course selector and works fine with FSADMIN; when I test rotary I have 1 for increment and -1 for decrement. When I start FSROUTER and I set the rotary, do not work (or the program do not recognize the rotary ??).Other simple on/off switch works in both FSAdmin and FSrouter. The display card works perfectly instead. I'm happy fot that.Your help is appreciated.regardsStefanowww.777project.net

Hi all:Recently I had to get a new FSKEY card made. My old one broke. The old one had 7x16pin IDC connectors where I could connect my switches using ribbon cable uses 16 pin female socket connectors from Mouser. My new FSKEY card has one 80 pin IDC socket and one 48 pin IDC socket which in total can give me 64 switch inputs. The problem is my switches are on ribbon cables and I can't find 80 and 48 pin female connectors ? I can't use my 16 pin connectors side-by-side as the clamp connector can't fit between pins...Anyone have any ideas ? Ideally I would like to have some kind of screw connector for each pin ..Many thanks for your help...JB

Hi to allThanks to help I got here with CNC I am very satisfied with my first panel.I sanded the plexi and used the right primer now. Everything went well this time.Only thing I need to do before finishing this panel is filling in the characters with white drawing ink. http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/112778.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/112779.jpgRegardsNorbert

Slowly but surely, my little DA40 sim is taking shape... Some of it is rather crude as is expected from hand-finishing some components, but overall the look is coming along.(I also have a FDS 777 CDU & Display for sale in the Swap Meet forum if anyone is interested) http://www.simengineers.com/sim/progresstodate.jpg

Hi guysJust got my fscom and fsio ng ready and flashed the athmel succesfully.Fsrouter setup for ng boards only.Does the keytest in the router sw still work? Does the autosense function still work?I see nothing happening in there. Do I have to remove the J16 jumper after flashing? Before I go to the more complicated switches I want to test everything with simple momentaries/toggles. These do not have to be setup in the fsadmin if i am right.Besides that I do not understand page 20/30 of the io docs. Its the switch tutorial.First Dirk writes about pin 1 to 16 and later he starts counting at 0

hello gentleman out there i want to say that im a buy the book kind of guy , so im not wanting to do anything that is against the rules, or laws of the land, but i do have a question about running wideview.i have four coms running wideview and i also have FS9 loaded on all four coms, i went to wideview web sight and the guy that owns wideview said i need to own four copies of FS9 so that cd4 will work on all coms, im pretty sure he had to say that to protect himself, no problem.1. does he really think i will have to go out and buy three more FS9 at 40.00 x 3.2. i have tried the no crack cd that will replace cd 4 and all that does is cause FS9 to crash after awhile (someon…

Hi,What are builders using for an intercom system in most simpits? I would like to construct an intercom/transmit system that mimics the real plane, in terms of hot mic intercom with PTT to transmit when flying with voice on VATSIM.Has anyone accomplished this, and with what hardware and software? Thanks SO much!!!!!!MT

I'm looking for B737 radio's to fit my pedestal. Should I build myself or go shopping around. CPflight has radio's, but they are not convincing. Flight Illusion launched their radio sets and they look real nice. Is it going to be cheaper to build them myself, and look as good. Where can I find laser etched front plates? Doe anyone have an idea of the cost if I build 6 radio's? cheersMark

Hello,As my cockpit building is coming to life now i am in the process of planning the software part of it.You guys ALL use Project magenta products ? I won't, don't want to pay so much, it is absolutely cost prohibitive and non justified price. But, does it exists an alternative to this product ? I looked at FreeFD wich is great but there is no MCP / FMC so no way to play seriously with it on a cockpit setup...Any solution ? Any advice ? What to do ???? I'm lost. Can we drag the PMDG 737 gauges (PDF, ND, EICAS and FMC) on other screens ???? Or another similar aircraft will do it ?What do you use ?!! Can't believe everyone use PM, can't believe everyone can afford that stuf…

Hi,What is the most complete, ground up tutorial for EPL? I've programmed in C++, Java and Javascript, but I need not only a good, current syntax manual and some good code examples. I notice that the epic manual refers to the ";" as the comment symbol, but most source I've seen lately uses "//" as the line comment.Where would I get the most up do date, comprehensive information? I'm planning to incorporate and EPIC card and modules into my Lear 45 simulator, so I need to get up to speed!THANKS!MT

Hi,Look here, a collectors item. I already have one, but if you are still searching:http://cgi.ebay.nl/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8798341873Note you can build such a magnificant piece of equipment for the Level-D yourself much cheaper with SIOC and FSCONV, but that takes more time. Hi everybody!Hopefully somebody will have a good advice for me! Till now I'm using momentary switches for my home cockpit. Since the levelD sdk supports on/off switches I want to implement these in my overhead. But is seems to be a #### of a job to find usefull on/switches,....almost every push switch is a momentary one!Only found these:http://nl.farnell.com/jsp/endecaSearch/par...U=4156390&N=401This is a so-called latching type switch! Can somebody tell me if this will work as an on/off switch?Any other advice? Thanks in advance!Jeroen op den AkkerThe Netherlandshttp://home.hccnet.nl/jwopdenakker/flightsimpagina.html
