Hi,If you're a licenced user of the Level-D, go and visit their Product Support Forum for very interesting news:http://www.leveldsim.com/forums/forum_post...p?TID=9822&PN=1Please note that curent version of FSCONV (4.9) is not fully compatible with the new SDK in Level-D SP3. I'm working very hard upgrading FSCONV to version 5.0.There's so much new in the SP3 SDK, almost every switch in the panel can be controlled digitally, and the number of lights/annunciators is probably more then your hardware interface cards can handle. SP3 will give us years and years work, building and exptending our home flightdecks! Will let you know ofcourse when FSCONV 5.0 is ready for (free…

I'm not getting any reply on the OpenCockpit website (forum) so I post it here.I'm doing some tests here with the USB-Stepper card.Let me show you my SOIC code to start off with: //****************************** Var 0000, Value 0 // Initialization { V0001 = 255 // sets the servo position to step 255 of possible 1021} Var 0001, Link USB_SERVOS, Device 40, Output 1, PosL 1, PosC 512, PosR 1023, Type 1 //****************************** I save it as ssi file and push reload on the SOIC main window to set that value into the servo. To change I set the code to V0001 = 1 or V0001 = 1022 or anything else. When I set the servo value to 511 it should be centered, right ? Then I take…

Hi guys -need help on this . I want to go to a site where they have a lot of screen shots to build a cockpit. I don't want some thing like -a King Air panel cause that means you always have to fly the King all the time and nothing else. I want run my 19in. flat JUST for the what ever panel i use in FS 2004 but thinking of getting a projection screen just for the outside view, so i guess it would be set behind the 19 in. is kind of what i want to do. I bought sheets of solid oak ply wood to make an encloser by my brother who is a carpenter is gonna buld it for me and have a car seat also for it . Now i run only Precison Flight Controls--have the yoke and the throttle quad…

The post about the ATR-72 glass cockpit reminded me about something I have wondered about before. What with fsview and fsuipc and the like, isn't there any way a wrapper or interface could be done to allow xml guages to run standalone across a network as clients?I know the rendering implications are more than just the xml, but, as the ATR-72 glass cockpit and others prove, there are talented programmers out there...

Looking at the various options for using multiple PCs and monitors to build up a cockpit.Anyone tried/used the lan view option from within Flight Sim Manager? Does it work in the same way as WideView? Does it allow the panels to be used on the client aircraft? Also, anyone tried/using the gates.to fs.net stuff? That seems to allow a single user with a multiple PC lan setup to run the same aircraft and flight over each and thus operate controls and display guages on any of the systems? Seems like it requires an internet registration check before each use though which I never like since they may decide to pull the plug oneday.Any other options/comments?

The solenoid is glued to a small piece of bakelite (circuit board stuff) to prevent the heat from getting to close to the plastic. The solenoid is connected through a phidget board, and 5V power connections. It reads a FSUIPC offset, and turns on when required.http://www.chrisjg.com/Sim/solenoids.jpgA small spring loaded switch th…
